Great Place to stop for a drink and watch the world go by

Unfortunately we only got to stop here once for a drink, I wished we had more time so we could have returned. Its set in a great location and really is the best place to stop and watch the world go by. The service was friendly.

This place is awful. Overpriced and tasteless food. The pork cheek was too sweet and artificial tasting, the pasta overcooked and even the pan con tomate was burnt. There is absolutely nothing authentic about this place and there are far better restaurants in the area. Avoid.

We ate here after a recommendation from a friend. We were looking for some good tapas in the old town that were not super expensive. This place definitely delivered on those fronts. We ordered 4 tapas between the two of us; a cheese plate, a guacamole dip, an avocado flat bread and some Spanish sausage (don't recall the exact names... More

This small restaurant is just a 10-minute walk from La Rambla. Watch out, since it's quite easy to ovelook it. The entrance is really tiny ! Inside you will find many tapas. I would even say vegan tapas like hummus or guacamole. Unfortunately, no octopus, cipirones or prawns. Instead, we tried excellent guacamole with chips, calamares (well, with mayonnaise sauce... Sunday brunch in late March sunshine. Great food and people watching all for less than 12 euros each, including orange juice, beer or wine, main, pud and coffee. I had the smoked salmon with mascapone, spinach and poached eggs on wholegrain bread. Filling and great flavours. Would definitely go again.

Have been to this restaurant several times and it's a favourite in our house-to-house menu del día is a few euros more than other places but totally worth it. Amazing quiche, fish dishes and the service always happy and helpful. Go!

Great place to sit down and relax after wondering around the Barri Gòtic. The atmosphere is great: friendly staff and mixed clientele. The wine selection is limited but there's always something interesting. Do stop by if you have a chance.

This is a great option in Born area for tapas any day or brunch on sunday midday, beautiful food at a really good price. Plus the terrace is quite nice when the sun is out

This likeable neighborhood place seems to be equally popular with locals and tourists, They have good tapas -- typical sausage dishes and fried green peppers and some unconventional house specialities such as grilled kangaroo and ceviche. Their main dishes were not equally successful -- the mussels in particular were oversalted and overcooked. Very nice atmosphere, great place to sit down... More

Slightly dark when you first walk in we ordered the house red and some tapas and were in for a fantastic surprise, this food was amazing, the patatas bravas in particular and the ceviche! We had a lovely laid back lunch were not rushed and were pleased to see plenty of locals also ordering food here. Brest for lunch which... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
