The tapas in this place is unmatched for flavour, and I'd recommend trying it on that alone. However, the night that I went with 3 friends the waitress we had wasn't paying attention when we ordered and missed some plates from our order, and when we asked if they were coming soon tried to tell us we hadn't ordered them.... Stumbled across this place when wandering through the Born. On the corner of a square which is home to a number of restaurants - we chose this one based on the welcoming atmosphere and the tapas menu, although we actually ended up eating from the brunch menu instead. Service was friendly. Food was simple but nicely cooked. Relaxed atmosphere and... More

The tapas were delicious, but also a bit too greasy. The service was first nice and gentle, but didn't asked if the food was good nor if we want coffee or desert. You have to ask for salt & pepper.

If you need a hangover cure on a Sunday day in El Born, come to el atril for Sunday Brunch (from 11.45 - 5). Very friendly service, great location, great value and most importantly delicious food. We had the salmon with mascarpone, spinach and poached egg, coffee, fresh orange, cava and desert. All in for less than 25 euros (for... More

I ate both dinner and lunch there, both alone and together with other. Their dinners was ok, especially when I ate together with others, as we could then share several well-made tapas. But I ate lunch there extensively, and their lunch deals are very good. Make sure to get their set menu, where you get to choose among 4 dishes... More

We had some well cooked, slightly non-traditional tapas here. Most memorable were the ceviche and grilled kangaroo meat. The outdoor seating was pleasant, in a cute little square with musicians wandering through playing (who also panhandle for tips, which might irritate some people I suppose, but we liked the music and thus didn't mind tossing in a few Euros). The... More

We stumbled onto this place on our way to a museum taking lesser traveled narrow streets through the Born. Nice outside patio area in a plaza. We had a brunch menu of the day for 10.80 euros each plus a 2.40 euro charge for patio service and included drinks, appetizer, entre, dessert and coffee with 2 or 3 choices in each... More

Loved this restaurant- I visited on a rainy Monday night; inside was very welcoming and warm. I had fantastic mussels and roasted potatoes for a perfectly reasonable price. The waiter spoke a fair amount of English, which was helpful, as well as the menu being in English. I would definitely recommend to a friend, and would certainly go back for... More

Three adults and one five year old paid €47 for tapas and one brunch meal, including two beers and three coffees. So the price was decent. I had a brunch meal of chicken and cheese on bread and it arrived in about 30 seconds flat which made me think it wasn't freshly prepared. It was bland, stodgy and my chips... More

I know Barcelona relatively well, and it can be hard to find a decent place I the centre. The set menu here is very good value. I had a very tasty grouper with saffron mashed potatoes. Tapas menu Seemed also have good options.
