Nice Place for an Evening Meal with Atmosphere

We decided we wanted to try a traditional Spanish restaurant and as they come this interior certainly was. They have various offers with Paella and others with wines from €30 + per couple. We haven't been impressed by the Paellas so we ate off the main menu. The food was good, though nothing... read more

Located on the Rambla in the Poblenou area of Barcelona, this Mediterranean styled restaurant was a lovely place to go after a day spent travelling. The interior was very tastefully decorated and well laid out and the waiter/owner of the place was very helpful and polite. We ordered the chicken Paella which we shared and found it to be well... Having read some of the previous reviews, I was seriously wondering if we were talking about the same place - it seems though so… First of all - going for classic Italian dishes such a place is close to gastronomical suicide. Not to be rude to Spanish restaurants in general, but I must say that they do not necessarily excel... More

We've made the mistake to go in there for dinner. What a terrible restaurant. The waiter was strange, rude and unfriendly. That should have been a warning but we ordered food anyway. I ordered for canneloni and it was simply disgusting; it was a (very) small bowl with a lot of tasteless melted cheese and a little bit of pasta(?)... More

Service good, meals terrible! I went there cause I saw ad on a map of Barcelona which I was given in the Hotel. I went there to try paella for the first time...I will never eat paella again. I ate paella with chicken and sausage. Every piece of chicken was full of small crushed bones. My friends ate BBQ and... More

Overpriced ready-made food. Tomatoes were miles from ripe and the chips were definitely reheated. Beer was triple the usual cost and had 50% water. Service want particularly friendly either. Avoid at all costs!

We had some of the most expensive and tasteless cheese fondu here. I think they just heated up some milk it was so bad. There are several other good restaurants on Rambla del Poblenou and unfortunately this isn't one of them.

Staying in Poblenou

Neighborhood Profile
Poblenou
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centers catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
