Description: Monvinic has been founded with the aim of being an international benchmark for the dissemination of wine culture. A pioneering space, created by Sergi Ferrer-Salat, which has opened wide its doors to present an unrivalled selection of wines from all over the world. And, what's more, to explore the how and the why of each bottle. At a time when the number of wine enthusiasts, all keen to appreciate and to learn, is growing apace, Monvinic opens in the city of Barcelona to promote and to encourage this passion. And to do so in a way that is rigorous and respectful, yet at the same time providing an atmosphere that is natural, uninhibited, joyous and outgoing.

From the moment we had to figure out that the front door slid open for us automatically, until we departed the restaurant three hours later, our time at Monvinic was whimsical and a gastronomic treat. The food was fabulous. We started with the eggplant and the crispy game bird samosas. Both were excellent and the sauce with the samosas was... More

This is a Michelin rated restaurant and worthy of its selection. Where to start from the lovely setting, great atmosphere and romantic garden. As you progress towards the restaurant, you go from the bar area, intimate cluster of sitting arrangements, to tables and finally to a garden area. We dine in the dined in the vertical garden among trickling water... More

We came with expectations after reading about this restaurant and its wine cellar. We were seated in a nice corner of the patio. Even though the place wasn't full the staff seemed stressed and inattentive. We had to wave to get their attention, and when the did attend our table they seemed very eager to leave us. After 25 minutes... More

Its only the second time in my 50 yrs I have walked out of a restaurant. This place seemed to tick all the boxes- great reviews, support from Claris Hotel concierge. It was a last minute decision- and this gives the rating 2 not 1 star! We were located- perhaps abandoned at the 'bar area' which was a corridor leading... More

What an amazing wine list! Honestly, it can be a little daunting but if you have the right server you will be golden. Our server asked our likes and dislikes talked to us about our palate and what we were having and really spent the time to pick something that spoke to us. And she nailed it! Juicy, deep, velvety... We visited Monvinic twice during our recent trip to Barcelona. On the first occasion the restaurant area was booked out for a function but we had a highly enjoyable meal in the bar area. I have an interest in wine and have undertaken a few wine courses so I was on clover using the ipad and trying to work out... More

This place is a combination of modern design and architecture -interactive menu on iPads- with a fantastic extended wine list. The best sommeliers in Barcelona work here suggesting and surprising the guests. Good quality food, I'd suggest it for an evening since when the lights are on the venue looks much nicer, and you won't miss a fantastic sunny day... More

We were initially taken here by our excellent tapas guide Marta from Forever Barcelona. It was an oasis of tranquility and sophistication, just off Passeig de Gracia, with the best wine list I've ever come across. The food was excellent and the wine waiters / sommeliers were astonishing. If you like food and wine - go!
