Description: Monvinic has been founded with the aim of being an international benchmark...
Monvinic has been founded with the aim of being an international benchmark for the dissemination of wine culture. A pioneering space, created by Sergi Ferrer-Salat, which has opened wide its doors to present an unrivalled selection of wines from all over the world. And, what's more, to explore the how and the why of each bottle. At a time when the number of wine enthusiasts, all keen to appreciate and to learn, is growing apace, Monvinic opens in the city of Barcelona to promote and to encourage this passion. And to do so in a way that is rigorous and respectful, yet at the same time providing an atmosphere that is natural, uninhibited, joyous and outgoing.

We were very luck in how we found out about this restaurant... It was our first day in Barcelona and the first thing I registered on arriving at the tip on Placa De Catalunya was Cafe Milano, a classic cocktail bar, worth visiting for a pre dinner Negroni before making your way to Monvinic. If you love wine, this is the place to go. And the food is wonderful too. Service was outstanding and friendly. I hope to get back for a second meal before I leave town. They have about 50 wines by the glass, and 3000 bottles, so the hardest part is choosing. Fortunately they have several knowledgeable sommelier on staff who... More

This wine bar is very unique. As you enter the building, you walk through a library devoted to wine. My husband and I opted for seats in the wine bar as the dining room requires a reservation. We were greeted and served by a young woman originally from Japan who has a vast knowledge of the extensive wine by the... More

Hits hard to say a bad word about this place. The design is slick and cool, the menu is fascinating, the staff are so helpful in every way. I went here for a business dinner with eight people and everything was perfect. The wine suggestions were fabulous and the staff we some of the best that I had at a... More

I spent a very nice evening at the bar, with excellent tapas and wines. The location is simply beautiful. But the most remarkable thing was the waiter: amazingly kind, truly passionate for his work, he provided me and my friends with loads of information. Thank you very much!

In pursuit of unassuming wine friendly restaurants this one fits the tab. The ambience may be chic but the staff, esp sommelier Isabel will make you feel right at home - you can be a wine novice or a geek there is a glass or bottle for you without having to break the bank. I was fortunate to even take... More

Starting with the location, the library inside the restaurant, the beautiful garden with plants that grow upright and ending with esquisite and sophisticated cuisine and nevertheless good wines, everything was great

Sleek and modish restaurant. very friendly service, with excellent English-speaking server and sommelier to help us along. A table computer displays hundreds of wines, but it was too complex to try to sort through for us relatively inexperience oenophiles -- we went with the tastings that they recommended, which were terrific. The food was excellent, and the price appropriate for... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
