Description: Monvinic has been founded with the aim of being an international benchmark for the dissemination of wine culture. A pioneering space, created by Sergi Ferrer-Salat, which has opened wide its doors to present an unrivalled selection of wines from all over the world. And, what's more, to explore the how and the why of each bottle. At a time when the number of wine enthusiasts, all keen to appreciate and to learn, is growing apace, Monvinic opens in the city of Barcelona to promote and to encourage this passion. And to do so in a way that is rigorous and respectful, yet at the same time providing an atmosphere that is natural, uninhibited, joyous and outgoing.

I was really excited to try this bar after reading the reviews, but found, like many, that the servers at the bar were indifferent to our presence and incredibly slow. In addition, we were seated at the bar stools near the serving area, and it was giving off a smell like stale alcohol, and was attracting a number of flies.... More

This place lives up to the hype. They have an amazing selection of wines, available not only by the glass, but also by the half glass. This is a great opportunity to try a bunch of different wines and see what you like. Highly recommended. (I didn't try the food)

The wine experience was excellent and we tried 2 very well-priced Spanish reds . . The laptop procedure was engrossing Unfortunately that night the kitchen was overwhelmed with a large convention group and we (four ) were only able to have tapas Eight rather small but very tasty plates arrived..........58 euros !!!!!, , two tiny desserts ... 8 euros and... We went to restaurant with knowledge of its huge wine offering and creative food offering. We decided to experience as many offerings as possible by concentrating on the Amuse Bouche and starters. Razor clams, veal sweetbread, stuffed squid, and cod brandade were excellent and creative. Wines can be viewed from a user friendly tablet that offers details on offerings by... More

I had nice menu with 4 appetizer, 2 main corse and dessert menu. Also with 4 wines fitting to menu. All wines were very good and tasteful. Maybe not 100% fit for food itself but still very tasteful wines. Food insted was not in same level of wines. Quite lame tastes and many appetizer had something on toasted bread. Main... More

The food was OK, but this restaurant is best known for its wine cellar and the quality of the wine severed.

This is a decidedly upscale establishment, with very sleek decor, reminiscent of a hotel lobby or a cafe bookstore. The food selections are imaginative, much better than a typical wine bar. So why do I only give it a 2? The list of wines sold by the bottle may be extensive, but the by-the-glass offerings are quite limited. The point... More

We celebrated our last night in Barcelona here, and it was a great way to wrap up our trip. Wine menu is on an ipad, and the server recommended excellent tapas and wine pairings. Be sure to try the dish with mushrooms grown on a chestnut tree. Delicious!

Excellent modern cuisine and great selection of wines. The service is erratic, friendly and informative in general but towards the end of the meal we were left alone and had to get up several times to fetch and serve our wine. The place itself is modern and attractive, but the lighting is too dim. The moving led signs in the... More
