Description: Monvinic has been founded with the aim of being an international benchmark for the dissemination of wine culture. A pioneering space, created by Sergi Ferrer-Salat, which has opened wide its doors to present an unrivalled selection of wines from all over the world. And, what's more, to explore the how and the why of each bottle. At a time when the number of wine enthusiasts, all keen to appreciate and to learn, is growing apace, Monvinic opens in the city of Barcelona to promote and to encourage this passion. And to do so in a way that is rigorous and respectful, yet at the same time providing an atmosphere that is natural, uninhibited, joyous and outgoing.

We visited Monvinic twice during our recent trip to Barcelona. On the first occasion the restaurant area was booked out for a function but we had a highly enjoyable meal in the bar area. I have an interest in wine and have undertaken a few wine courses so I was on clover using the ipad and trying to work out... More

This place is a combination of modern design and architecture -interactive menu on iPads- with a fantastic extended wine list. The best sommeliers in Barcelona work here suggesting and surprising the guests. Good quality food, I'd suggest it for an evening since when the lights are on the venue looks much nicer, and you won't miss a fantastic sunny day... More

We were initially taken here by our excellent tapas guide Marta from Forever Barcelona. It was an oasis of tranquility and sophistication, just off Passeig de Gracia, with the best wine list I've ever come across. The food was excellent and the wine waiters / sommeliers were astonishing. If you like food and wine - go!

The wine list is totally amazing at this, the worlds best wine bar. However, the pricing is very very good. We had some wines which in Australia would cost a lot more at a bottle shop let alone a Restaurant or Bar. The food was very good, and although we ate within the casual area, the dishes were provided as... More

This was a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience. My friend said it was envisioned as a dining "laboratory" and indeed the food was unlike anything I've ever had. The food includes locavore Catalan dishes, including a Penedes chicken with blue feet that looked prehistoric and tasted great! The service was a tad pretentious and this is the type of place where they... More

I visited Monvinic for my second time during my last trip to Barcelona. This time we had wine tasting and tapas coming in. The courtyard is now open for dinner guests.

My husband and I went here for lunch on a Tuesday. The place was very empty which allowed us to spend more time with the staff to understand the menu. Prior to arriving, we had considered choosing the special lunch menu, only to find that it wasn't available in the dining room where we had made our reservations. If you... More

We had a wonderful evening in this restaurant. Digital wine list and fantastic wines per glass. Modern interior well informed staff. Food a bit experimental and pricy, but all in all superb experience.

This place had great reviews on Timeout so I had high expectations but my experience at Monvinic far exceeded those expectations. I love wine but I have to say I was very intimidated walking in to the restaurant because they had a wine class taking place so I thought maybe I had to be some wine connoisseur to even dine... More
