We chose Allium as it was recommended in Lonely Planet, the TripAdvisor reviews were generally good, and it is conveniently located in the Barri Gotic. We also found it was open throughout the evening so could eat around 7.30. The dining area is quite small with a corridor through to the kitchen at the rear. The service was very efficient... More

We went there after reading a short review in our guide. The place is not big and we have almost missed it while walking down the street. Menu is not very long (english version available) but it consists of amazing spanish dishes. We had selection of tapas which were delicious. Staff speaks English which is very helpful as ,,menu of... We chose this place as it was recommended for coeliacs, and we had a very nice supper. They serve traditional, heart-warming Spanish food in generous portions, which is just what you need on a cold winter night! Service was a bit slow (it was Friday night) but always friendly. A very pleasant evening in the heart of historic Barcelona.

Don't come here for the food, nor the service. Decor is nice. Bread was very nice, and the potato soup was pretty good. The chicken was overcooked in a non-descript sauce. The cannelloni was made with tinned tuna with flavour and excitement left out. Given that there are some strongly favourable reviews suggests they have some good moments, or bought... More

Rubbish. How on earth this restaurant maintains Km0 is beyond me. It is for all purposes exactly the same as any other sordid, touristic tapas place in Barcelona. Nothing makes it stand out other than the price, which one would assume is higher due to being better quality, but it's not. No one speaks Catalan in the place. Servers can't... More

So, i came here because I read it uses "Slow Food" standards and 0Km sustainable ingredients. Assuming that the quality of the ingredients is indeed better than all the thousands of average places in Barcelona that do "menus" (this is not perceivable), I did not enjoy this meal more than a meal that cost half what I paid here. However... More

Located centrally in the Gothic Quarter, Allium offers sleek interior design and menu. They have a modern and friendly ambiance where you can watch the cooks (women!) from your table if you choose. Excellent and attentive service. Delicious food choices including fish, veggies and meat with fried artichokes to die for! Clientele mixed ages and nationalities when we visited.

Visited this restaurant in Barcelona whilst on a guided trip with Intrepid. Our tour leader,Adriano recommended us to try. Where can you ever get an awesome 3 course meal with a drink plus coffee with this price? The food was simply made, fresh and delicious! The restaurant location is also ideal as it is close to all the shopping and sightseeing... More

We were getting desperate to find a place open. It was Sunday evening and we had been on a 3 hour bike tour. Tired and hungry we stumbled on this restaurant. The restaurant was run by ladies. The only one we saw during our entire two week visit to Spain. The female touch was every where. My wife was impressed... More
