so good, we went twice!

Happened on this place and stopped in because there was a window to the street that showed the kitchen and wow! Looking good! We asked for all of the chef's recommendations and were not disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious. We even tried the octopus and it was the reason we went back... read more

Had delicious paella, bread, patatas bravas and croquettas here. Everything was absolutely lovely along with very drinkable and cheap ish wine by the glass. Loved the decor and the furniture in this cute restaurant.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food is very reasonably priced and there is a good choice on the menu of either tapas or a more substantial set menu. The food was delicious! The decorations on the inside were really unusual and interesting as well. I would like to visit Restaurant Allium again!

Found this little place by chance but did not regret getting in! Very clean and modern interior. Professional but friendly and relaxed service. Peaceful atmosphere. Fresh ingredients excellently cooked and presented. Good portion size. Majority of dishes with fish or sea food. Regretted not going there a second time during my three days in Barcelona!

This is a nice tapas restaurant in the Gothic district. The chorizo in wine was quite possibly the best sausage either of us had ever had. Our waiter was very helpful, explaining the different options and their preparations and offering recommendations when asked. (There is also an English menu, which was very helpful.)

We chose to eat here because of the gluten free options available to our daughter, food was lovely, although the most expensive meal we had in Barcelona (it wasn't fine dining prices, but it was definitely at the pricey end of what we wanted to pay) had steak and chips that was very good, and lovely tapas to share, everyone... Came here with a small group on a food tour of northern Spain and this was a wonderful introduction. We sampled a whole range of excellent dishes and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. This included catering for a member of the group who was both lactose and gluten intolerant. Menus came in both Spanish and English. The... More

As a vegetarian, I had to place a special order, since there's no vegetarian dish on the menu. The food was overpriced, and ridiculously small portions. Plus, it didn't even taste nice. Definitely not coming back. Only good thing was the interior design...

We went to Allium on the recommendation of the Lonely Planet and overall decent reviews on trip advisor. Sadly it came in under par for us. We reserved a table and on walking in found an over-lit restaurant with no music and significantly lacking any atmosphere. We were then shown to our table which was tucked around the corner on... We visited allium on a Saturday night, our last of four in Barcelona. It was recommended to us through a lonely planet review as 'beautifully prepared tapa dishes and changing specials' 'an inviting newcomer'. On first impressions the location was central but secluded, interior decor was minimalist with Neolithic type engravings in the interior walls, multiple light bulbs (over 30%... More
