Sat outside and had some drinks, the service was a bit slow but the drinks were good value and it has a good atmosphere. Would recommend for after dinner drinks.

We cam across this cafe having arrived late Friday to Barcelona. We were immediately made to feel welcome & comfortable given that neither of us speak much Spanish. I had the best contemporary sangria that I have ever had. The bar is an eclectic mix of modern, 80s & traditional decor/furnishing. We came back second night & tried some of... More

I came here with friends for lunch and at first they were patient that I was waiting for a few of them to arrive. They were quite slow taking our food order but were quick with sorting out the drinks. We sat outside which was very pleasant. The restaurant has a very cool café vibe. My order was wrong and... I've been living and working as a free lance writer in el born for two months now. Whenever I just want to work in a nice, relaxed environment, I come to this bar, across from my apartment. Service is quick, friendly, and the food is good. Try the 'Cabrita burger' and one of their fantastic 'tartas'. The waiter with the... More

We targeted Alsur Cafe based on the reviews at Trip Advisor. She enjoyed her meal. Mine was good, but very salty. No problem - I'll just order a water, right? Well, that assumes that the waiter ever comes back to ask about the meal. He didn't. We had to go and find a waiter after eating in order to pay... More

This is a nice place to have a brunch sitting down outside on a terrace, the food is good (although not the best Benedict eggs I have tried in Barcelona), the price is correct and they have some original propositions in the menu (specialities from Venezuela). One last "tip": you've got to try the carrot cake!

Walking around barcelona on a Sunday night--everything closed or packed with tourists, the Alsur cafe in el born was a wonderful discovery in a beautiful little winding road square. The Iberian ham and Brie on focaccia sandwich was a revelation and the chargrilled beef with chimichurri sauce (recommended by the wise and very friendly waiter Santiago) was succulent and delicious,... I was walkin with my friends today morning through the streets and we saw nice square with a few terraces. We decided to sit down here, cause the tables had nice ornaments :) Nice guy came to the table, with a smile. We ordered (we were three) coffee and breakfast. Coffee was amazing! Beautiful, appetizing, with a chocolate drawings, very... More

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to have breakfast our last morning in El Born and we ended going to Alsur. Food is great, the place is designed with taste and the service was as expected. Nothing but great!

Good tapas, served in nice way. I recommend huevos revueltos con jamón serrano! Staff was really nice, but one thing I didn´t like was, that they were very stubborn in talking with me in english, while I wanted to order everything in spanish, because I live here and prefer to use spanish daily. But, still they were very friendly and... More
