Excellent for lunch

We came here on our way to the Sagrada Familia for a lunch. My girlfriend had a goat's cheese salad and I had a burger with goat's cheese, spinach, and caramelised onions. Both dishes were fresh, vibrant, and very flavourful. I loved my burger! We also had a beer and a coffee - we made the right... read more

Very friendly service by our waiter Pavello. He recommended us delicious tapas that is different to the typical Spanish tapas, and it is in a great location.

Abit sad we only visited here on our last day in Barcelona as I would of made it a regular had i visited earlier. We had the burgers with "fries" the burger was great and I loved their take on fries. Great decoration and good service. It has a lovely atmosphere and relaxing vibe to it. Definitely recommend.

Great place to hang out and have something to eat... Good selection and best hot chocolate ever! So creamy and rich you could eat it with spoon... Thanks Pablo and Carlita (I'm sorry if I haven't spelled your names right) for the food and the service!

A fantastic way to spend a beautiful day, we choose to sit inside but we still got a street view, it got super busy at one point but the waiters kept checking in with us the whole time. The food was filling, fresh and amazing. The coffees were so good we had a couple. And they carter for all. We... More

Great place for a drink or coffee and a small meal, we went for lunch and had the most delicious goat cheese salad and fresly made empanadas. Loved the outside seating area in the windows!

We went to Alsur Cafe after visiting the Picaso museum. They had wonderful coffees, a great breakfast selection, WiFi, clean restrooms, and great service. After a tour of the museum it is a great place to stop in and take a break. Also has a great work area if you need a quiet spot to catch up on emails!

Really smart place, excellent service and good drink selection. Wish we'd found it earlier in the trip. Went back the next night and the staff remembered us which was a lovely touch.

Alsur Cafe is a pretty big place, both inside and outside. For food, I'd recommend the mini-hamburgers or the quinoa salad which is stuffed with veggies and nuts. They have a pretty large menu 'para picar', small dishes that are excellent to share with your table. Service generally is great too; there is a guy with rasta hair that always... More

I went here yesterday for the first time with one of my friends after we had gone to another cafe to do work where the wifi wasn't really on par. The bravas were okay, but the atmosphere here is awesome and the wifi is on point. Definitely will be coming back here.

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
