Very nice surprise!

We heard of this restaurant from a friend of us, who suggested the slow-cooked lamb. We went there, had a wonderful round table next to the window, and had a marvelous diner. The starter-tapa's where simply excellent. mussels and clams out of their shells while crunching on the Catalan coca... read more

Coming from a rice eating origin, we know the taste and flavor of rice. The manager himself claimed that this place makes the best paella in whole barcelona and that the fish is fresh. Both claims were wrong. The seafood paella smelled bad and the cuttlefish was stale. Also watchout for your tab, as they keep on adding tapas and... More

I enjoyed both the tapas (they have a lot!) and some main courses (fish fresh and good!). Try the paella and also the tuna with avocado! The service in excellent. Consider the option to dinner inside: for outside they charge you 15% while also inside the restaurant is really nice.

Waiter pushed some tiny awful shrimp appetizer special not on menu then charged us 18,00 euro for it and charged us 3,90 euro for 2 pieces of French bread. Rest of food was mediocre. Much better places to go in area.

Fourth time to return for breakfast, second time with same waiter. We returned as it's in good location and great coffee and breakfast sélection. This morning, the waiter decided to increase the cappucino price by nearly 50 percent, when questioned he said price was correct. I mentioned that normally the price was 1.80, he said he didn't know and that... More

Turist trap, find another place. Horrible service. Do not be surpriced if the waiter kicks you out, if he is not happy with your order. What a dump.

We went this place to have drinks and tapas, so we order 3 glasses of sangria and 3 tapas. So far so good. We get 2 of the tapas dishes, but the one of them was NOT the one that we ordered, but the one underneath - double the price, and not what we wanted. The 3th tapas doesn't come,... More

Service was so laughably shocking... it was hilarious! I'm not one to whine... But it took 15 mins to take a food and drinks order, the drinks came quick. Then almost immediately the salad for my partner... Then about half an hour to 40 mins later my food! So I ordered another drink to go with my food as I'd... More

Situated on a corner by the El Bon Cultural Centre (worth looking in there at the well preserved ruins of a bit of old Barcelona) the restaurant is always pretty full of locals and tourists. There is a reasonable size inside dining area as well as several tables outside (you are charged 10% for eating and drinking outside). A good... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
