I went with my girlfriend at the end of our holiday to Barcelona. The tasting menu was great! The courses were all really different. My personal favourite was the cold noodle water feature as one of the courses for sheer dramatics, however, taste wise the Wagu beef dish was brilliant. As a restaurant it is a great experience. I would... More

Koy Shunka is the only Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant in Barcelona. Pricey it certainly is, but well worth every penny. We ordered the most comprehensive tasting menu, and it was an endless parade of Japanese delights. With produce this quality you do have to stretch your wallet, but you will not be disappointed. Forget about your local sushi bar, this is... More

Very busy at lunchtime, buzzing little place. Waiters have very poor command of English for those who don't know any Spanish/Catalan. Sushi was nice, but very small portion for the price. Satisfactory overall but best to have sushi in countries where it's affordable...

Had a 13 course menu at this place. Many pretty cool and creative dishes was served. The miso soup was great and the tepanyaki wagyu beef was one of the best I have ever tried

First thing to know about this restaurant is that you'd better book a table in advance and request to be just in front of the bar ;) The seats are all around the kitchen so that you'll see the cooks preparing everything. The waiters are really nice and smiling, service is really upper class. Food is pricey but if you're... More

Incredible food - somewhat pricey, but so what. You're on vacation, so enjoy. We found ourselves staring at the food while taking delicate bites out of the artistic presentation that was offered at every course. This place is in a hard to find street/entryway, but just off the square of the Gaudi Museum. Go to enjoy the beauty of what... More

This is now the third time. We've had the large tasting and then gone back for different types of sushi and sashimi. They have a Galician barnacle which is out of this world, almost a sirloin flavor. The salmon is the best I have ever had. The scallop and cucumber with truffle should not be missed. This is simply the... More

Koy shunka it's definitely a special night out. We chose to sit at the sushi bar so we were able to watch the sushi chefs craft their art. All of the courses on the tasting menu were incredible. Beautiful flavours, textures, presentation. The restaurant itself was understated, you could quite easily walk past the front door.. inside it's very dark... More
