We had the set menu at lunch the last day in Barcelona. The different presentation of sushi was spectacular. The staff were fantastic with all staff seeming to be able to speak Japanese, Spainish and English.

I have no idea how sushi with same ingredients with other places could turn out that good. The ingredients are so fresh, ordered uni with no unpleasant smell for the first time. The cut is just perfect and the unagi is like melting in my mouth and the sauce is the tastiest eel sauce ive ever tasted.

I recomend seat on the bar. You can se there cookers working and it's a show. Food is most catalan products and sushi is absolutly incredible. I allways find for value for money places and I think this is not an expensive place because the quality is high. Stuff are very friendly and explains what is each dish and where... More

I went here for the first time for my birthday meal in July 2012 before the Michelin star - it was obvious then that it would not be long until they gained a star. We had the full tasting menu and sat on the counter where we could watch the chefs prepare the food. They were very friendly and happy... More

Product at koy shunka is just outstanding, Technics and preparations are perfect same than the presentation of the dishes. Restaurant is modern and beautiful, a little bit difficult to find if you are new in Barcelona What it makes me a little bit disappointed is the size of the dishes and the price I know the product is expensive but... Of the same owners and chefs of Shunka, this upmarket restaurant is uniquely special in adapting Japanese cuisine to Catalan and Spanish produce, with originality.

Incredible mix of japanese cuisine and mediterranean food. If you want to find original flavours this is your place. The service was very friendly explain us every dish. Obviously for this kind of restaurants you have to be prepared to expend a lot of money but I think it worths it.

Going to the only Michelin starred Japanese restaurant in a city with and number of dining choices, I expected to wowed. Was a let down. I tried the larger tasting menu with the Wagyu beef. The sushi and sashimi were very goof and so was the amuse bouche but the beef and the shellfish courses were underwhelming including the 'Estrella'... More
