Of the same owners and chefs of Shunka, this upmarket restaurant is uniquely special in adapting Japanese cuisine to Catalan and Spanish produce, with originality.

Incredible mix of japanese cuisine and mediterranean food. If you want to find original flavours this is your place. The service was very friendly explain us every dish. Obviously for this kind of restaurants you have to be prepared to expend a lot of money but I think it worths it.

Going to the only Michelin starred Japanese restaurant in a city with and number of dining choices, I expected to wowed. Was a let down. I tried the larger tasting menu with the Wagyu beef. The sushi and sashimi were very goof and so was the amuse bouche but the beef and the shellfish courses were underwhelming including the 'Estrella'... More

Koyshunka is far more than a Japanese gastronomic experience. It's the 5th senses + unami. Fantastic.

Wasn't sure what to expect-- the 82 euros seemed excessive for lunch. However, it was truly amazing! Each course was beautiful and very delicately spiced. The sushi was beautifully crafted. There was one amazing dish (a large salt block that looked like a rock with grilled seafood inserted in artistic ways)-- like a piece of art! Another dish was colored... More

I went with my girlfriend at the end of our holiday to Barcelona. The tasting menu was great! The courses were all really different. My personal favourite was the cold noodle water feature as one of the courses for sheer dramatics, however, taste wise the Wagu beef dish was brilliant. As a restaurant it is a great experience. I would... More

amazing innovative Japanese similar to very high quality restaurants in Japan. Also quite expensive, but the amount of work put into the dishes proves how important the food is to the Japanese chefs at this impressive establishment. I was surprised to find such a restaurant in a small alley restaurant in the gothic district. Not your typical cuisine, so really... More
