Blown away!

I don't give 5 stars readily, but today they' re not enough! In this modest cafe we had a seafood casserole the equal of the best bouillabaisse of Marseilles or Paris, followed by wild turbot on a mushroom risotto to die for. Literally. We decided to go to this restaurant after reading trip advisor and seeing there was a discount up to 30% if reserving a table with the fork system and we did. The place is very nice and warm.. The menu and many details are well designed and you can tell there is passion in the air... The waitress is nice... More

After walking for ages trying to find somewhere where we could eat something vegetarian, the waiters here were very helpful and made several suggestions. The starters were delicious. The only thing that let it down was the pasta sauce was a bit sweet and my husband's seafood pasta wasn't brilliant. The service was excellent and the wine was good. We... More

I saw on the board they were offering a summer special at 9.50 euros for starter and main exc VAT. I had a salad for starter and for main a tagliatelle with clams very well seasoned very nice. All together with a sprite cost 13.70 euros. The paella looked really tasty and smelled really nice. Would come here again.

We signed up for a-day tour and the meeting place was the Barcelona post office. The most visible and strategic located cafe was El Cafe. One might think this to be just another cafe taking advantage of its strategic location. It indeed has but it won't let you down. Try the set breakfast of freshly baked croissant, freshly squeezed orange... More

Although the waiter could have been a tad more friendly the food more than made up for it when it was brought out to us! We had been walking all morning from where we were staying in the north of the city and decided we were ready for some refreshment so stopped for lunch at this place probably because it... More

Delicious meal. My wife had the pork shoulder dinner, which wasn't the "fight the bone" experience (fortunately), but was great tasty, pork slices. I had the grilled octopus & grilled razor clams, both very good & flavorful. We also shared the padron peppers--excellent if you like Spanish food.

The restaurant is slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of Barri Gotic, but well worth a pleasant stroll through the backstreets to enjoy a meal. We booked as a group through bcnrestaurants and could not have been more pleased with the result. The staff were friendly and engaging and produced an excellent meal with some delicious tapas that were... More

We came to check if the extremely careful design of the interior matches the food. What a surprise! The food is superb, with a presentation worth a Michelin star. We took different desserts to check if they also dominate that area - same result... (Crema Catalana, Tarte Tatin, Coulant de Chocolat). Make a reservation - very few tables. But definitely... More
