Nice restaurant but beware!

We found this restaurant by chance while walking around looking for a beer, then went back a day or two later for lunch, which was very acceptable, and like a lot in Barcelona does not break the bank. The problem was the *********** who tried to steal Jills phone by putting a folded up map on it... read more

Went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The staff were very nice. Food was really tasty and good value. The seafood paella and cod fritters were especially nice

I've had tapas at several cafes and restaurants to date but these were the biggest portions by far. Plenty of choice and value for money too. At the time of writing they were also giving 30% discount on main meals if you booked a table on line. An enjoyable experience all in all.

I don't give 5 stars readily, but today they' re not enough! In this modest cafe we had a seafood casserole the equal of the best bouillabaisse of Marseilles or Paris, followed by wild turbot on a mushroom risotto to die for. Literally. Never mind Gaudi; this restauant is the reason to visit Barcelona!

We decided to go to this restaurant after reading trip advisor and seeing there was a discount up to 30% if reserving a table with the fork system and we did. The place is very nice and warm.. The menu and many details are well designed and you can tell there is passion in the air... The waitress is nice... More

After walking for ages trying to find somewhere where we could eat something vegetarian, the waiters here were very helpful and made several suggestions. The starters were delicious. The only thing that let it down was the pasta sauce was a bit sweet and my husband's seafood pasta wasn't brilliant. The service was excellent and the wine was good. We... More

I saw on the board they were offering a summer special at 9.50 euros for starter and main exc VAT. I had a salad for starter and for main a tagliatelle with clams very well seasoned very nice. All together with a sprite cost 13.70 euros. The paella looked really tasty and smelled really nice. Would come here again.

We signed up for a-day tour and the meeting place was the Barcelona post office. The most visible and strategic located cafe was El Cafe. One might think this to be just another cafe taking advantage of its strategic location. It indeed has but it won't let you down. Try the set breakfast of freshly baked croissant, freshly squeezed orange... More
