This tavern was recommended by the staff of the nearby apt we rented. It was charming, inexpensive and had a great selection of entrees. Particularly noteworthy were: artichokes stuffed with prawns and cheese, wok roasted vegetables and chicken in Catalan sauce. There was a large selection of tapas as well, but we went with dinner entrees. The waiter was extremely... More

Came upon this little taverna down a side street near our hotel (Expo). The cooking was basque and quite wonderful and we were treated like honoured guests. It's been a long time since I saw a menu that I could have eaten any dish from. Don't be put off by the 'bar' atmosphere - the food and welcome more than... More

Off the tourist path, we are so happy to have found this place through google suggestions and spanish reviews. Hope to return for the excellent service and deliciously enticing menu, that doesn't break the bank.

Staying at the Gran Torre I decided to venture out for a (very) short walk and find this restaurant that so many TA's had recommended. My intention was to take a drink at the bar, maybe sample the tapas available, and then settle in to a restaurant meal. Well... I moved not one inch from the bar ... 9 tapas... More

The atmosphere, the food, the wine, the staff, the setting...everything about this place is absolutely STUNNING!! My partner and I enjoyed an absolutely magical night here in September (2013) and cannot say enough good things. It's a traditional, authentic, unspoilt and charismatic Barcelona restaurant, a real hidden gem off the beaten track tourist trail. Exactly what we wanted - to... More

Five of us had an amazing dinner here. Wonderful pichos plus some amazing starters, mains and desserts. Every plate was a delight for the eyes plus the tastes were fresh and the flavour combinations fantastic. House wine was good quality and service was flawless. I would eat here every night if I could.

a buddy and I went there and had some sangria and food. the lamb chop I had was in a au jus sauce and he had some cod. both were excellent! the service was really good, and it was right around the corner from the hotel. indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors because of air conditioning.

The plate of seafood noodles was possibly the most amazingly delicious plate of food that has ever passed my lips!!!! Lovely friendly waiters who did their best to help us given our utterly inadequate Spanish (French, German, Italian we've learned at least to some basic level but sadly never Spanish) house vino Tinto was amazingly good. 2nd round of pinchos... Thankfully this is not a tourist trap and though pretty much out of the way , nevertheless worth making your way there for pinchos & tapas. Excellent friendly service and glorious food.

Zaraitz is a neighbourhood tapas bar/restaurant. It is named after a Basque village near San Senastian. Most of the clientele are locals the Friday evening we visited- always a good sign. The staff were very helpful and we were glad we chose to sit at the bar as we were well served - we also have a vantage view of... More
