Bright and cheerful but nothing special

My partner and I visited this place having seen it recommended in an Insight travel guide and hoping for a special experience. We were somewhat disappointed although the food we had was ok and the male staff (but not the girl on the door !) were courteous and friendly. The restaurant had a bright and... read more

Fish was not filleted, which was poor and let the main meal down. Dessert was excellent and did go along way to help us overlook the fish. Service was not great but acceptable. Probably would not visit again.

Ate there as a family of 4. Had risotto, 2 x penne arrabiata and pizza. Other than the pizza the food is not cooked to order but merely pre-cooked during the day and reheated once you have chosen. All food was bland and tasteless and the waiter couldn't have been more unwelcoming. Cutlery was dirty and sent back and the... More

This restaurant looks quite posh from the outside but as we had walked miles we just wanted to sit down, so I expected a huge bill. The food was lovely, wine was good and service very good and the bill was very reasonable. A good find!

Tapas chain restaurant. Large variety of tapas, ok but nothing special. Poor service had to get up to find staff to pay bill. Not attentive. Cheap and cheerful. Not romantic

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
