Great for croissants and other pastries

I didn't actually go here but my husband walked over early in the morning a couple times during our stay to pick up some breakfast treats. Everything we had was fresh and very tasty. Apparently the other reviews haven't been very flattering but my husband never encountered any of those issues.

Near La Piedrera and other Gaudi buildings. Serving all day! A real boon when you're in need of early dinner. Nice menu and excellent pastries. Coffee shop atmosphere.

...and were sorely disappointed. The owner/manager was not interested in doing business with us, the waitress slammed plates and cups in front of us and stomped around the restaurant obviously not enjoying her job. We waited for service for a long time, then finally walked up to the front counter and get our own food. This was the worst food... More

Had a couple of Tapas dishes in this restaurant. Food was good value and great options to choose from.

Has modestly-priced quick meals such as quiche, roast chicken, sandwiches. Though the food isn't great (and the fries are quite bad, by European standards), it's mostly okay, and the price is modest. This place draws a steady flow of localsfor snacks or quick meals. The interior is nice, with a "period" bar look to it, and attractive food displays.

Went for lunch. Their menu is a bit expensive but you have the option to take half menu which makes it more affordable. I had a salmon and goat cheese salad which was nice. Service was good but at the same time looked that they were always in a hurry, like getting annoyed for asking what did they have for... More

There are many restaurants along the Rambla de Catalunya and we were glad we stopped at this one. My wife ordered a pizza, which turned out to be quite good, if you like thin crusts. I ordered tapas: olives, calamari and Iberian ham. All were quite good but we wished the ham would come with some bread. We ended up... More

I would stop by here everyday during my stay in Barcelona for a Oreja de Chocolate, it's really really good. The lady serving the food was really helpful and courteous, suggesting all the combos I could make for lunch. Last day in Barcelona we stopped by for lunch and food was ok, not bad.

Brilliant little café we came across just up the road from the Murmuri hotel it serves a great breakfast artisan bread and hot food all day brilliant interesting Spanish delicacies . None or hardly any English is spoken but that adds to the fun you get there in the end. Sit in the seating area on the avenue and watch... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
