Shanti restaurant is a clean & hygienic place in Barcelona in a cozy neighbourhood. Limited choice of Indian dishes, but tasty & quick service makes it a must try for Indian food.

For very long time I wanted to eat a tasty lamb masala. Finally I could find in Barcelona an Indian restaurant where I can eat good lamb masala. My other friends took different dishes which were very tasty too! With great pleasure I would go back and recommend this restaurant. Not to forget, I just had an opportunity to glance... More

I was surprised by the negative reviews quoting small portions and mediocre food. I love this restaurant - curries are great (chicken handi, lamb shimla, murg kadai, butter chicken, etc.). Everyone we brought to Shanti have become repeat customers! Small portions??!! Gosh, I leave the restaurant practically rolling out like a ball!! I guess I look for places which offer... More

I'm Indian and I went to Shanti with great anticipation. The place appears to mostly be empty. I am guessing that's because they charge a lot more and serve a lot less. The food was mediocre - nothing to write home about. The night before I went to a small hole in the wall off of Rambla in the old... More

I don´t know what to say about this OPINION! First on the empty place if you go into a restaurant (which is in Spain) at 8:00 I don´t think you can see it full, because in Spain there are other times that elsewhere for lunch and dinner, here in Spain nobody have dinner at 8:00 pm. Second we have well-portions,... More

Don't boter with the vindaloo or tandoori dishes as they are both very poor. Chicken tandoori was passable but kebabs or prawns were totally not fresh and microwaved. Have you ever been served tandoori dishes with no lemon? There you have it. Notwithstanding, the chicken handi lazeez was quite good, as my daughter who is quite fussy, liked it. As... More

The restaurant Shanti is off the beaten touristic tracks, a small street from the long Avenida Diagonal, right at the University area. The owner and all the people working there are Indians and quite often you see indian people in their beautiful colourful dresses going there for lunch or dinner. It seems to be well known also among expats as... More

Excellent Indian food and good service. Price is a bit on the higher side though. The location is also good. It is very close to the bus stops of the open tourist buses. It is close to the red and the blue route. We hopped off for lunch at this place and then resumed our sightseeing tour post lunch
