Worst rip off ever

Went for a quick sandwich with my wife, ended up spending 39 euros for 2 not even decent sandwiches, 1 sangría and 1 juice. They lure you in, invite you to sit down. You do not expect those expensive prices from a place like that, specially when there are thousand better in Barcelona. To... read more

They soaked me 43 Euros for 2 beers and 2 sandwiches. It appears they prey on tourists. Don't go there! We were in Barcelona for 5 days and this was the only poor experience we had!

We were charged 36 euros for 2 pizza's ( half a baguette size) and 2 beers, we had fabulous meals elsewhere, including wine and beer for a similar price, steer well clear, they seem to charge what they want!

Beware of the place. They charged us 40 Euro for three cups of coffee and 5 pastries. We saw the same pastries at other restaurants for 50 cents each. I intend to turn them in to the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce. It may not do any good - but the city of Barcelona needs to know what thieves run this... More

Popped in here when I got off the train. We ordered 1 very average baguette and had 2 sangrias and a can of soft drink. Total bill 42 Euros. The baguette was awful but the Sangria was ok. I don't think there is much chance of them being in trouble with the police as they were all in there eating!!

Ordered two coffee's at the bar. Price indicated on menu. Took drinks outside and told to pay later. When we finished our coffee and went to pay the price was +266% higher than the menu price. When questioned we were told (a) these were larger cups [only one price on the menu and we had not been asked what size... More

Absolutely appalling food. My boyfriend and I ordered a 'pizza' each, which was 90% cheese and all sorts of unidentifiable meat. I could barely eat 1/4 but was comforted by the fact that it surely couldn't be more than 3€. Two 'pizzas' and a can of drink came to 21€. Total rip-off, poor service and almost inedible food. Stay well... More

Expensive and the food was horrible. I would not wish my experience to my worst enemy. The meat changed the color of the bread pink. 18 euros for sangria!!!!! do not eat there! I would not feed the food to my dog.

We had a quick lunch here before going to Casa Batlo. Good location - right on Passeig Gracia and a block from Casa Batlo. We placed our order at the counter and sat outside. Service was good. Food was fine as well, but unbelievable prices. 6 Euros for each Pepsi, 7.50 for the Baguetina's ...! The only restaurant we saw... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
