Divine Sweets + Friendly Staff

Knowing nothing about how famous the owner was in Spain but following the rave reviews, we came here for an afternoon treat. We tried the strawberry tart and chocolate layered cake with a glass of horchata. Wow, I'm not a HUGE cake or pastry fan but they were both absolutely divine! It was like... read more

This is a heavenly place for pastries and chocolate lovers. They make some of the most beautiful, creative cakes in Spain, and it is fun just to look at their display before making up your mind. Their pastry chef and owner is a celebrity in Spanish cuisine, and if you have a birthday or important occasion the right place to... More

We didn't have the breakfast package at our hotel so they recommended trying this place out for breakfast. Although it took a little long to get served on a busy Sunday morning, it was worth the wait. The pastries and unique breakfast items were delish!

At first, I thought it would just gonna be another typical experience having meal in restaurants where everything is Spanish, but I was so wrong! All of the waitress here speak English well and they also have English menu. I didn't know what to order, so the lady at the counter was kind enough to give me a walk-on tour... More

We went with the family and enjoyed pastries, particularly all those based in dark chocolate. The butter croissant was also extraordinary and to drink we had Orxata which was refreshing and tasty.

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
