Very Good

I found this restaurant on Tripadvisor. As others have said, we received a warm welcome and we enjoyed the food. The pork dish that others have recommended was excellent. Food came quickly. Price fair.

Hands down the best customer service I have ever received in a restaurant. They are truly grateful for your custom. The meal was lovely, I had chicken curry which was nice and my boyfriend had a dish recommended by the owner- Thai beef stew, you got loads of beef and it was tasty. We are so returning to this place

We wanted to diversify from the tapas, and got the recommendation for Son Hao. Not much of expectations to start with, but after being there and seeing the reviews, we have to corroborate most of them. The food is very good. The service is very friendly and helpful in the selection of the dishes. Tell the owner your preferences and... More

It's obviously a family business, and they do it really well. The owner is exceedingly friendly and made us feel very welcome. His wife cooks the food, which is divine. If you're looking for great Chinese/Taiwanese in Barcelona and a pleasant dining experience overall, definitely give Son Hao a try.

The service is particularly excellent. The food was amazing. The Atmosphere was muted and comfortable. One of best places to eat that I have found so far in Barcelona.

My parents had quite enough tapas and risotto after ten days in Barca and a cruise ship, so we decided to visit Son Hao. The place is old fashioned decorated, but the food is excellent. Though they are you fairly ryun-of-the-mill Chinese dishes they were executed very well. The owner is very chatty and friendly. It wasn't really busy at... More

Very good food breaking away from the commonly known Chinese, with a lot of spices and full of aroma. Also very freshly cooked. The owner is very pleasant and welcoming and the whole experience was very interesting. We went there with our children aged 6 and 8 and they loved the whole experience: food, customers (mainly all asian) and decor.... More

And that has to be the best recommendation going. Tripadvisor has proven it's worth, thanks to it's high recommendation I went for dinner. I was the only non-Chinese in the place, which immediately made me realise this was a good choice. I had the Tawainese pork and fried rice, both very good. However, the ribs, were a bit dull, lacking... More

We were really looking forward to giving this place a try. Shame we walked miles to get there only to find they were closed. Huge tip, put your opening hours up on Trip Advisor because we would have visited last night instead if we'd known!!

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
