Don't miss it.

Very small oriental based restaurant where you are seated on a counter around the kitchen. We had a choice of two menus. A 'small' one of 14 small dishes for 75 euros and a somewhat bigger menu of 18 dishes for 90 euros. We went for the first one and were able to change dishes if there was... read more

my wife and i loved the food. it's a little bit japanese, served tapas style. it's not cheap, but the food was wonderful. i do have to say that i was still a little hungry after the meal, and that was true for my buddy rj who came with my wife and i. my wife though was happy with the... More

I’ll be honest, this was meal of mixed reactions on our part. This was to be a special birthday treat for my wife and whilst some elements were excellent, the overall impression was “How did they manage to get that Michelin rating? – Not obvious to us.” Made worse by having to sit ‘on the terrace’ (the pavement beside the... We ordered and got billed for the 'festival' tasting menu, but got served the lower regular menu at the price of the more expensive menu. Our kid got served some complimentary bowls of rice, of which every single one was charged. When we asked for a bottle of wine we got the most expensive one on the menu. For a... More

Okay, I have to admit I have a weakness for some bizarre foods. And the fact that they served brain tempura on such a high and delicious level and amazingly yummy bone marrow teriaky did help them to get 5 stars from me. But generally everything is super delicious and worth a try. Especially great and very, very reasonably priced:... More

My wife and I were traveling through Spain for two weeks in May. When we arrived I made a reservation at Dos Palillos in Barcelona for or second to last night in Spain. My wife and I have dined in Michelin Star restaurants in a number of cities in the world so we feel qualified to critique these types of... More

Located in the stylish Camper hotel in the trendy Raval neighborhood, this Japanese restaurant is fantastic. Sit at the bar and nibble and have a few beers. Wonderful product.

How Michelin gave this place a star is beyond me. Tapas mixed with Asian fusion sounds good but in reality it is poor Chinese Dim Sum. And you can get that at any decent Chinese restaurant at a fraction of the cost and twice the quality.

Very interesting fusion of Japanese with Spanish influences. Service was very good and attentive. Good explanation of all the courses. The whole experience is a culinary delight. All the dishes were visually stimulating. Most of the dishes were raw and challenging for some of our party. The best way to describe the menu is sitting on a reef and feasting... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
