Great Food; Intermittent Service

There is little left to say about this restaurant - the food is amazing. Extremely well balanced and the presentation is even better. Sitting by the bar gives you a great glimpse at the innerworkings of the kitchen and add to the experience. The only remotely negative thought I can share, is... read more

On a tour around Pyrenees we visited two 3-star restaurants and four 1-star restaurants. Food here was the same level as in Arzak and Martin Berasategui. Restaurant only have two set menus, mostly fish and shellfish. Quality-to-price level is very good!

An amazing fusion of tastes not to be missed. I went there a few years ago and can honestly say what was perfection got better! It pushes the envelope for some people with sheep brains (exquisite) and raw chicken with fish roe (delicious - even I was afraid to try but was so glad I did) The bone marrow canapé... More

Definitely the most creative tasting menu experience in Barcelona. Every dish is an adventure in design and flavor. The atmosphere is a bit hectic as it takes a lot of coordination to execute this type of quality food on a larger scale than most foodie places, but it doesn’t detract from the experience. Make sure to come on time for... More

The food itself was generally very good, with a couple of outstanding dishes, but for the price, we had higher expectations. While all is good quality, well presented and fresh, the seating is not very comfortable and the service is a bit rushed. Just not as amazing as it could have been.

Nice environment around the kitchen, exceptional food, excellent wine pairing but service was too fast. No time to enjoy.

Dos Palillos is a great Izakaya. They serve japanese inspired dishes with a twist of contemporary food. It's not just food. They serve experiences, like Adriá at 41 grados or Tickets. No wonder the Michelin star. You should pay a visit if you're in the mood of an eating experience with plenty of time and money. I recommend.

Really an amazing experience! Not only great and creative food but the whole thing was that, a complete experience. They serve a great variety of wines and the service was five stars. Its recommended to make reservations on advance, the place is not so big which makes it more personal and easy to enjoy. Definitely not my last time here!

This restaurant was the first experience of Michelin star food. It was totally worth it! We have had the tasting menu of 15 different small dishes. The cuisine was a mix of Spanish and Japanese food and we absolutely loved it. The food was being made in front of us, the staff was very very attentive (even though we had... More

You will certainly enjoy eating here. They have 2 menús, also a la carte type degustations. The food is a fusión of japanese, bit of thai and some indian but in the Tapas spanish way. The flavours could be interesting & good. Portions are small so it is pricy The setting is sitting in a bar, with the several chefs... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
