Top tapas

Great location - in the middle of the boqueria. Waited for about 30 minutes to get seats around the bar for 6 of us but it was totally worth the wait. We had some nibbles at the neighbouring stalls while we waited. Top patatas bravas, foie gras, beef steak, and seafood. Definitely... read more

Top quality seafood, located in the mercato boqueria. Very busy, just like in Bar Pinotxo you have to stalk the place in order to grab a seat. ordered wat too much food (came here the same morning we got to barcelona, a little unaware of how big some of the serves can be. later learned it's better to order a... Unable to get a stool at the nearby Bar Pinotxo!!! Sat down here just before the lunchtime rush! Lots of v nice seafood baby Polpo Chipirones and Bacalao with sum Morcilla! My OH sampled a few of the many varieties of Tortillas! Think they understood our Pidgin Espanyol😉! Service was perfunctory but that's not a problem in my book.

Amazing seafood platter and friendly service. Thought it was going to be just a pit stop but ended up having a full meal here. Highly recommended!

Great little restaurant for tapas and a glass of wine right in the boqueria market. Both locals and tourists jam together in his tiny restaurant that creates beautiful food. A great way to get in the spirit of Barcelona.

Both locals and tourists come here to eat excellent seafood. I wouldn't miss an opportunity to eat here again if I come back to Spain again.

After reading so many recommendations for this place, my wife and I decided to stop in to try it out. We paid 20 euro for 2 eggs served with 4 shrimp poached in cava, and we waited 30 minutes for our bill despite asking for it three times. It was 11 am and the place was busy was hardly bustling,... True pleasure in Barcelona involves eating, especially wonderfully prepared food while astride a stool with a placement in front of you that reads "The art of eating on a stool", surrounded by the heady cornucopia of La Boqueria market - a truly beautiful place. This is a place that i have heard those in the know call an "honest" place.... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
