Excellent food - even when mass catering for a conference

The restaurant catered for around 70 of us at a conference - never an easy task. The food was superb - fresh, delicious and interesting, even though we all ate the same set menu. Wanting to give yourself a treat ( expensive one ) ? Go to Loidi in Barcelona. You will find Spanish food, revisited by a a creative but really Spanish restaurateur at its best. You will find the basic staples of the Iberic food, always with a twist that will surprise and amaze you. As a Spaniard, I could say that Loidi... More

Today was the second time we tried the tapas set menu, and again the quality and service were exemplary. At 25 EUR per head for a menu including squid, steak, ham, croquetas etc, and a fantastic chocolate dessert, the value for money is very good! Definitely worth a visit

We turned up without a reservation on Saturday evening. Despite this, the very professional team found us a table and even sorted out the mess when I mixed up my wine order! We had a 3 course meal that was beautifully presented, cooked to perfection and left us totally satisfied. Certainly not a cheap venue to eat but worth every... More

I've gone to this restaurant with a work colleague. We have taken a menu based in truffle (50 Euros) including 5 plates. We have combined it with a wines menu (4 wines) for only 15 additional Euros. The service was perfect, the wines were very good (and they refill the glass when empty!) and the price more than correct. To... More

Not a lot of variety on the menu but the food, especially the tapas are fantastic. Staff is very attentive and personable. Would eat here again when in Barcelona.

Visited the restaurant for lunch and had a Loidi menu. A little bit disappointed about the quality of the restaurant. Although the food was fine, the service excellent, and the place was nice, I was expecting a little bit more after being a Martin Berasategui's restaurant. A part from this, I would recommend it for a nice meal. It has... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
