Osmosis is in the heart of Barcelona?s Ensanche district. Contemporary seasonal Catalan cuisine is offered in a minimalist but relaxed environment. The main menu features just three starters, three fish dishes, three meat dishes and three desserts, to which they add weekly specials. Diners can opt for the set menu at 23 Euros or the tasting menu for 45 Euros. The restaurant makes great show of its long wine list featuring over 100 wines. Groups between 6 and 12 people can reserve the private dining rooms, while the restaurant offers personalised menus for groups over 20. Examples of the original dishes on the menu include monkfish wrapped in Ibérico pancetta or green lentils with baby squid and garlic.

We were seated in an intimate upstairs dining area - looked like an estate library. We both went for the 7 course tasting menu for 50 euros each. Since... More

The place is elegant, simple and minimalist and so sophisticated in the same time. Food is exceptional and you need to go for the 7 dishes (other option is 5 dishes) First the cook is explaining you, at the beginning, when you order, in details what is is in each dish. If you are allergic to something, you just need... More

Tried their 5 course tasting menu for 35 Euros. Great value for money! Delicious creative dishes and amazing service. Several waiters and cooks and out to serve us and ensure that we have everything we need, to explain the dishes to us and to give their expert advice on wines.

One expects interesting and excellent food in Barcelona. This restaurant did not disappoint us. The restaurant is a bit out of the tourist zone of La Rambla, and it was a nice walk from our hotel. The most interesting dish for me was the monkfish with sea urchin, although the black turnip and parsnip cream with sucking pig was a... More

We booked this after searching TA for nearby restaurants with good reviews. We were not disappointed. You can choose between a 5 or 7 course tasting menu. The 5 was enough for us. A superb array of flavours unfolded with mushrooms, home made sausages, artichoke, monkfish, mussels, beef across the first four courses. The final course was an amazing combination... More

You just pass in the street sidewalk and you might miss one outstanding experience in Barcelona. The Chefs are absolutly amazing. I was there during mushroom season, and what a treat I had! The quality of the ingredients are great. The place looks formal but its quite frendly and warm. I had a degustation menu, and it was perfect. The... More

My friend and I had a great meal on Saturday night. The tasting menu is delicious. we had 5 courses but wish we had the 7 course instead. The food is innovative and well balanced. In term of value for money, it is difficulty to beat. Service is very good and attentive. Over all a great evening. Will definitely go... More

Osmosis is an outstanding restaurant. I booked it at the last minute when other, much more casual, plans fell through and I was a little worried that it might be too formal for our slightly worn-out group of travelers. But they greeted us warmly and gave us at a table where we could take in everything that was going on... More

We were recommended to try Osmosis by a friend who lives in Ibiza. We had the 5 course menu, however there were 3 other small courses served prior to the main courses which we were charged 3 Euros each for (which were nice). It was really lovely, but the room we were put into was elegant but lack ambience. You... More

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
