Description: In 2000 ABaC Restaurant opened its doors in his first location, Carrer del Rec 79 in Barcelona. In May 2008 changed to his new address in Avenida Tibidabo, 1. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project. The restaurant awarded with 2** Michelin, and nominated by The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy, can seat up to 56 diners. Located in the newly constructed pavilion in direct contact with the garden, the interior and the exterior are found through large windows. It is a caprice of whites, in all tones. In a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere, the sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as a sophisticated combination of lights. The kitchen of 200 m2 has been designed by Joaquim Casademont. It is a black container, in which stainless steel furniture takes all leadership, an effect that has been reinforced by the lighting, a route marked by leds serves as a guide and allows the guests to cross it. Rooms for private events with a capacity of 20 to 60 diners respectively, complete its restoration facilities. The "Lounge Bar", which opens until 2.00 p.m. and where the music, light and color of the room subtly change; There is also an extensive cellar, offering near 1000 references, and from which you can select your perfect wine. Chef Jordi Cruz and his team of young professionals develop a creative cusine of superb technique, based on the product and which meets both creativity and tradition. In addition, our attentive yet friendly service create a professional but relaxed atmosphere, which makes ABaC holder of 2** Michelin.

16 Course Grand Tasting with Wine Pairings. From the entrance (you need to be buzzed into a long walkway). to the ending walk, everything was done with great attention to detail and executed perfectly. Definitely modern styled cooking and technique, but an incredible experience. The tables are unusually shaped and have plenty of room as many dishes are finished table-side.... More

Booked this restaurant to celebrate husband's 50th birthday whilst visiting Barcelona - food, service, ambience and style were fantastic. Possibly the best meal we have eaten - it was 'heaven on a plate'! A clever chef with great ideas, not cheap but worth it for a special treat. Truly a great experience.

Selected the gastronomic course (18 courses) with wine pairing and the optional Kobe beef. Was an excellent procession of modernist preparations to titillate the palate. Amazing service too. I would highly recommend this place. The ambience was superb. The restaurant is set in a green manicured garden in a quiet enclave adjacent a main street.

Ok. So we (2 guests) went to this restaurant after a lot of research on TripAdvisor. I noticed a few comments about Americans getting poor treatment. Bit I figured, well, I'm not the ugly American type so maybe it was just a fluke. Well, it did not seem to matter. Couple of observations and you be the judge. We had... More

My wife and I visited and did the 13 course tasting menu, with wine pairings. All I can say is "wow". We've dined out all over the world and this is certainly a standout experience. The wait staff was highly engaged and efficient, but in a manner that helped the food and wine. The wine selections were superb and matched... More

We took the smaller tasting menu of 10 courses. The food is very creative with a substantial japanese influence. My favourite course was the octopus potatoes stew with curry and mushroom stock, which apparently originates from the famous local dish but with an interesting twist. I was also impressed with the mackerel starter - a fish with a somewhat mixed... More

Epic dinner! This place deserves a 3rd Michelin star in my opinion. Great ambience, very quiet and subtle lighting, amazing table and serving set ups for every course. Great service and palate teasers in abundance. Top 5 meals I've ever had!
