Description: In 2000 ABaC Restaurant opened its doors in his first location, Carrer del Rec 79 in Barcelona. In May 2008 changed to his new address in Avenida Tibidabo, 1. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project. The restaurant awarded with 2** Michelin, and nominated by The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy, can seat up to 56 diners. Located in the newly constructed pavilion in direct contact with the garden, the interior and the exterior are found through large windows. It is a caprice of whites, in all tones. In a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere, the sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as a sophisticated combination of lights. The kitchen of 200 m2 has been designed by Joaquim Casademont. It is a black container, in which stainless steel furniture takes all leadership, an effect that has been reinforced by the lighting, a route marked by leds serves as a guide and allows the guests to cross it. Rooms for private events with a capacity of 20 to 60 diners respectively, complete its restoration facilities. The "Lounge Bar", which opens until 2.00 p.m. and where the music, light and color of the room subtly change; There is also an extensive cellar, offering near 1000 references, and from which you can select your perfect wine. Chef Jordi Cruz and his team of young professionals develop a creative cusine of superb technique, based on the product and which meets both creativity and tradition. In addition, our attentive yet friendly service create a professional but relaxed atmosphere, which makes ABaC holder of 2** Michelin.

This is a truly outstanding molecular gastronomy cuisine. The lunch there (did not find a place for dinner) was fabulous. The long list of small dishes were highly innovative and surprising. Definitely one of the best meals I ever had! (The pics are from the "cheaper" 139 Euro menu, unfortunately I had a hard time matching the name and the... More

Fabulous meal. We ordered the Abac tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was exceptional. The flavors, the textures, the aromas were a total delight. This restaurant is a must gourmet dining experience. We had lunch outside on the garden patio; it was quiet, beautiful, and extremely peaceful. The only down side is that they will enforce the dress... More

This was my first time at Abac; we came with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Overall this was an amazing dinner where texture and innovation were key. I have been to many 2-3 Michelin star restaurants including one ranked in the top five (e.g. Celler de. Can Roca, Fat Duck, etc.). I will use those as a benchmark.... More

This was our final night in Barcelona and the 3rd straight nite of tasing menus. Each course was magical treat as it was our first time having any course in monolecular gastronomy. It was a treat that we will always remember

This was my second visit to this restaurant and I was wondering if they'd change the menu. To my delight it was a completely new menu and was even better than the previous one. This really is an odyssey of taste presented in theatrical style with multiple textures, layers and sensations. Service was supreme, the decor beautiful and the grounds... More

While I never expect a meal at a 2 star restaurant to be rushed, this one was exceptionally slow. Between sitting down and receiving our first dish, it was well over an hour (and it's not because we were indecisive or slow to order). Even the waiter acknowledged the slow start towards the end of the meal and apologized. Additionally,... More

My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary here and it was a wonderful way to commemorate the occasion. We splurged and went for the biggest tasting menu, which was 16 courses. In hindsight I'd probably recommend the smaller, 12 course menu - each one of our favorites was on that menu and it would have been less expensive and... More

Very good introduction to molecular gastronomy for me, complete with foams and liquid nitrogen tricks. 135Euros for lunch is pricey, but the pluses are: (a) you can get reservations at short notice (b) it is a 3-hour gastronomic experience and you will not need any dinner either that evening. I am used to many Michelin star restaurants, primarily in NYC... More
