In 2000 ABaC Restaurant opened its doors in his first location, Carrer del Rec 79 in Barcelona. In May 2008 changed to his new address in Avenida Tibidabo, 1. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project. The restaurant awarded with 2** Michelin, and nominated by The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy, can seat up to 56 diners. Located in the newly constructed pavilion in direct contact with the garden, the interior and the exterior are found through large windows. It is a caprice of whites, in all tones. In a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere, the sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as a sophisticated combination of lights. The kitchen of 200 m2 has been designed by Joaquim Casademont. It is a black container, in which stainless steel furniture takes all leadership, an effect that has been reinforced by the lighting, a route marked by leds serves as a guide and allows the guests to cross it. Rooms for private events with a capacity of 20 to 60 diners respectively, complete its restoration facilities. The "Lounge Bar", which opens until 2.00 p.m. and where the music, light and color of the room subtly change; There is also an extensive cellar, offering near 1000 references, and from which you can select your perfect wine. Chef Jordi Cruz and his team of young professionals develop a creative cusine of superb technique, based on the product and which meets both creativity and tradition. In addition, our attentive yet friendly service create a professional but relaxed atmosphere, which makes ABaC holder of 2** Michelin.

Delicious, visual and creative menu, but an average overall experience, due to a lousy staff with attitude and some other small glitches. I'm not going to lie: if you keep your eyes STRICTLY on the dish, you'll have a WONDERFUL time. A team of four friends for a business lunch, on a sunny Saturday in Barcelona. Great promises. We like... More

This restaurant is absolutely divine - not to be missed. Every single one of the thirteen courses we tasted was exquisite, adding up to the best meal we've had since we ate in Thomas Keller's French Laundry a decade ago (and we've eaten in plenty of Michelin restaurants since then). The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish and... More

Indescribable food. Fusion as its best... Everyone I know is going to Barcelona, I tell to go there. The chef, Jordi Cruz, is a really nice young men. He went to our table, where I could complement him for the beautiful and delicious food. The hotel the restaurant is inside, is very charming and provides a welcoming atmosphere to the... More

Completely agree with Lalilalaaa's review below (we dined the night after and based on her pictures had the same courses). Just to give some additional color: -My wife is also vegetarian and the chef did an outstanding job not just subtracting meat components or making obvious substitutions - he absolutely transformed and reinvented her dishes and they were absolutely sensational... We booked a table at ABaC by e-mail and they also accepted to prepare a vegetarian version of their tasting menu for my companion. We arrived at the entrance of ABaC and had to ring the bell. When they opened the door, we entered an entire "new" world. It is a great architectural work, very calm and a green oasis... More

Knowing it would be an expensive meal, we were still not going to pass up an opportunity to eat at a 2 Michelin star restaurant in Barcelona. The dining room is very nice, love the lamps and elliptical tables that have lots of space between them. Service is very attentive and quite formal, though the waiters are also happy to... More

This was one of the best and most innovating meals I've ever experienced! We had 18 delicious courses with a generous wine package. The service was impeccable and very friendly. I recommend ABaC to anyone who wants a whole new world of taste and has some money saved up.
