Description: In 2000 ABaC Restaurant opened its doors in his first location, Carrer del Rec 79 in Barcelona. In May 2008 changed to his new address in Avenida Tibidabo, 1. The gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the project. The restaurant awarded with 2** Michelin, and nominated by The Best Restaurant 2011 in Catalonia by the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy, can seat up to 56 diners. Located in the newly constructed pavilion in direct contact with the garden, the interior and the exterior are found through large windows. It is a caprice of whites, in all tones. In a calm, neutral and elegant atmosphere, the sense of sophistication is shaped by the small details and the materials used, as well as a sophisticated combination of lights. The kitchen of 200 m2 has been designed by Joaquim Casademont. It is a black container, in which stainless steel furniture takes all leadership, an effect that has been reinforced by the lighting, a route marked by leds serves as a guide and allows the guests to cross it. Rooms for private events with a capacity of 20 to 60 diners respectively, complete its restoration facilities. The "Lounge Bar", which opens until 2.00 p.m. and where the music, light and color of the room subtly change; There is also an extensive cellar, offering near 1000 references, and from which you can select your perfect wine. Chef Jordi Cruz and his team of young professionals develop a creative cusine of superb technique, based on the product and which meets both creativity and tradition. In addition, our attentive yet friendly service create a professional but relaxed atmosphere, which makes ABaC holder of 2** Michelin.

I've never had to ask 3 times what something is but only because it was so mindblowingly delicious and confusing! Caramel and corn taco and shaved foie and Mexican spicy ice cream may be the best dish I have ever had and it was only dish 2 of 15! The staff are fantastic and the setting perfect. I only regret... I want to make clear that the food is excellent. In my opinion, thought, since Jordi Cruz is also a TV star and the restaurant is in an expensive neighborhood in barcelona, the restaurant is slightly overpriced. When you go in one of this restaurants, you do not only expect the best food, but also a whole experience from the... More

We had dinner at the Abac restaurant, on the 19th of December. When we arrived, we found the closed gate and no one to welcome us. After finally ringing twice, we had the door opened and had to find our way through the quite beautiful building. We finally arrived at the restaurant, and, as I requested, we had a nice... More

One of the best places we've been. Beautiful and elegant. Incredible service, amazing and inventive menu. Simply great ! We had the opportunity to meet the chef that's almost a star in spain and he showed us his kitchen.

We visited ABaC restaurant the third time now and we can only repeat what we have written here before: It is truly an outstanding experience in every aspect. It is an innovative cuisine. The grand ABaC tasting menu (16 dishes) challenges all of our senses. The combinations of tastes (harmonies and contrasts), perfumes, colors, textures, appearance, and haptics is mindboggling.... We had the 16 course chef tasting menu with wine pairings and added an extra course of cheese. Ended the 4 1/2 hour meal with a bottle of 1998 D'Yquem. HANDS DOWN, THE BEST MEAL I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE.

This November was our third visit to Barcelona and the 4th and 5th meal at ABaC. This 2 Michelin Star restaurant features Jordi Cruz's creative, innovative cuisine. Try the tasting menu and you will get many small courses. Reflecting the chef, these will be varied and some may be a bit experimental. Don't be surprised by unusual taste combinations. If... More

We are longtime San Francisco residents, with family ties to Manhattan, therefore completely spoiled and tough to please. ABaC is food poetry - truly extraordinary. Our criteria for serious cuisine is not only excellent taste but that it is unique (like great poetry). We give our highest recommendation to this very fine restaurant. Delightful service too which means unpretentious and... More

Gets great reviews, but found this a bit disappointing and uninspired. Very explicit that they couldn't take us till late, but indeed the place was only about 2/3 full. Variable service - a few younger folks clearly lost - re water, wine, etc. Older staff a bit odd - clear beliefs about wine that accepted little discussion. And the food... More
