welcome place to eat in Barceloneta

We spent the day walking from Plaza Espanya out to the Christopher Columbus statue, and following the coast up to Port Olympic. We initially looked for a seafood restaurant but most looked either uninviting or too expensive for a quick lunch. Wokimarket was a welcome find right on the beach and the... read more

The food here is ok and price is standard. We ordered rice noodles with beef and terayaki sauce. If you are looking for sth like this to eat, here is a place to come. However, the service is very bad. The woman is very unfriendly and rude. As we were eating, she hurriedly take our dish away. So I had... More

Stumbled across this restaurant after spending the morning on the beach. It was a pleasant surprise. Staff were friendly and food very tasty, especially the chicken curry ( a coconut based curry with slices of root ginger ) .

I've eaten at different wok-restaurants and there are not a lot that are good in BCN (my opinion). This is one I quite like though. The location is nice, even though it's right next to the street but you do have the sea across the road and a few metres down. I already visited twice. The first time we ordered... More

On a recent trip to Barcelona we stopped to walk the beach and discovered Woki market. What a great find! Besides the yummy, unique meal we experienced nice outdoor seating, free bathrooms (a big plus in Europe). My husband had a burger which was very good but the fries it came with were out of this world! I tried a... More

We love this place! The food is mostly organic and very fresh. Friendly staff is sometimes hard to find in barcelona but here the people go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Tried all Woki markets in town and preferred this one. the other two locations have a market as well. this Barceloneta location only has the posibility to eat, so no supermarket vibe. We had a burger and an lentil salad. The burger was great with great fries the lentil salad was a bit boring. the taste was good but needed... More

We stopped in late on a Saturday afternoon for a sit down wok and wine combo. The restaurant also does take away and there was a long queue of hungry patrons. We weren't in a hurry so we chose to sit and watch the busy promenade while we waited for our order. 20 minutes later we we were rewarded with... More

Visited late on evening to get a takeaway. Not very appetising at all. They had run out of prawns, so so we chose chicken and beef. The chicken was tough and the beef rally chewy, which was a shame as this is a really good idea. Maybe we went on an off day?

Located conveniently near the Barcelona beach. You get to select what ever noodles/rice, ingredients and sauce you want from a list and they cook it right in front of you, simple, cheap and fast service.

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
