Tasty Italian food in Spain

If you have had your fill of Spanish food and you want some comfort food this is the spot. The individual portions are large and they also give each dish a tasting portion for the rest of the table to try so there's no need to share off the main dish. We were surprised by this and it was a... read more

We found this restaurant online and got a taxi direct, otherwise we would never have found this tucked off Passeig de Gràcia. From the outside we nearly missed it as its a large wooden door which is closed, meaning you need to ring the bell for access. Inside - the decor is beautiful. The waitresses were very attentive and polite... More

Da Greco's style of serving food was incredible. Whatever dish you and your friends order, a sample of each of the dishes will be served to the table to share, which makes tasting each others meals so much easier! The atmosphere was okay although it was a very hot day and the restaurant only has tables inside. Would recommend it... More

Tony Greco took our orders personally, and we had a lovely conversation at the end of dinner over a gorgeous bottle of complimentary lemoncello, frozen in ice water with roses. The caprese salad was delicious and fresh, our pastas cooked to perfection and a lovely surprise of "tastes" of other pastas enjoyed by other family members, as well as an... More

Have been to da Greco at least 5 times and have been pleased every time. Great Italian pastas (Id recommend the white truffle tortellini). It's a fancier place so make sure to dress for the occasion. Good place to bring the family.

After reading some reviews about this restaurant, mentioning Da Greco as the best italian in Barcelona , we decided to try it. We were seated in the second floor and after waiting for 15 minutes the waiter/hostess handeld us the menus. 10 minutes later the chef came to our table to take the order. They had a pasta sample consisting... More

This was on our daughter's recommended list of restaurants given to her while studying abroad. The food was fresh and delicious. Pastas amazing, fresh good greens and wonderful dinner rolls along with a great wine selection all reasonably priced which brought us back a second time. The chef/owner is previously from Brooklyn and came around to chat with everyone which... More

Oh dear, this restaurant was recommended to us by a local, so we were hoping for good things. Let me start with the decor. It is Rococo meets car boot sale tut. that is to say, there is lots of gilt, golden statues of cherubs and winged angels, huge gilt ornate mirrors and old master paintings. If this had been... More

Amazing food with lots of vegetarian options! they give you a tasting plate of your partners dish which is nice! the decor and atmosphere is lovely too! Would recommend for authentic italian cuisine and a nice restaurant without it being overly posh!

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
