Best Italian food in Barcelona

Good service, and very good pasta. They don't serve pizzas. Try the menu de degustacion as it allows you to try different dishes.

I have been client of da Greco for many long. There is always problems and "mistakes " with the bills. Afortunadamente they are doing it on purpose. The last experience was brutal ! Never go back there again.

I had dinner here recently, dining by myself. The owner, Tony Greco, was very accommodating and friendly. He spent some time speaking with me because we have a mutual friend. My meal was terrific. The pastas were all perfectly cooked al dente. I will say that the sauces are a bit on the heavy side, sometimes it was difficult to... More

I guess I came here with high expectations, but I have trouble seeing the reason for the rave reviews. I found this restaurant average at best. You get course after course of overly-creamed pasta and some seem exactly the same. The mushroom tortellini and truffle ravioli were almost the same. The "degustation of pasta" offered three different "surprise" pastas, ie.... More

The service was supreme. All the food was fresh and well prepared. The owners were friendly and gave us many extras for tasting. The ambiance was amazing. they had watermark place settings, cloth covered chairs and beautiful artwork in every room. The pasta was homemade and authentic Italian.

Da Greco is a magical place that my wife and I happened upon in our second trip to Barcelona years ago and now consider an indispensable part of our visits to Barcelona. It is hidden in a narrow nondescript side street, with nothing but the name on the awning over a windowless wooden door to tell you that it is... More

Last time we ate here it was on over the top experience-- food, service, ambience. This time all three seemed to be having an off night. While still a great restaurant with much to offer, the attention to detail seemed a bit off. We started with appetizers of burrata cheese and the Italian meats plate. The salad and meats were... Was recommended this restaurant by a friend. The food was nice. You could tell it was fresh. However I felt like the menu lacked choice. A lot of the traditional Italian dishes you would like to see on a menu weren't here. Would recommend a few more traditional dishes to appeal to the wider market!

To start, this place is more like a private club than a restaurant. You have to knock to get in. A first. The decor is unusual. Seems high end but somewhat bizarre. My wife was convinced to try the pasta soaked in parmisian cheese. The portion was huge. I got the pasta trio - and it turned into 5 or 6... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighborhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
