Very good location- terrible food

The location is really perfect- in front of the sea in a nice building. The food was lousy- I didn't like anything at all and I eat everything..... Wouldn't recommend it unless I ate all the wrong things but that was the opinion from all others from our table.

The good thing is that everyone can order a different plate of paella/fideua which is not always possible in Spain. Quality was excellent and quantity of seafood was also above expectations. They have a beautiful terrace with views on the port. Prices can be on the high side sometimes. This was our second time there and it was as good... More

Recommended by a native as the place to eat. It is as i would say just like him fashionable! but do not let this detract from the restaurant we had a wonderful meal and really excellent service from the waiting staff. A chilly Barcelona evening still had views of the portside and with the flames rippling from the heaters to... More

We have visited Barcelona on many occasions over the years and eaten at a number of the restaurants overlooking the Marina at Port Vell but this was our first time here. We came with a large group of friends and it could not have been a more perfect way to spend a Friday lunchtime. We had a lovely table outside... More

We had anchovies for starters and then a black rice and a black fiedua -- all three dishes were excellent. We opted for a table outside as it was a beautifully sunny day, so could enjoy the food while overlooking the "Port Vell" and the sea, and the multitude of weekend dwellers in the area. Staff was very professional and... More

We had a delicious plate of tiny fried fish and a very good vegetable rice. The fish was really good and didn't need anything more than the fresh lemon juice that comes with it.The rice was very tasty. We also drank a very nice sangria. The prices are quite high. Its good to know that the bread they put down on the table as... For my birthday in Barcelona I wanted to have a nice lunch at the waterfront but due to some logistics issues (not knowing who all would be attending and arriving when etc) I was unable to book anywhere beforehand. Luckily we strolled past this place and could see that all of the outdoor space was fully occupied (sunny and warm... More

Nice restaurant with a good variety of food on the menu but a bit on the pricey side. Quality of food was average.

On our recent visit to Barcelona we wanted to take a break from tapas and find a good seafood restaurant. We strolled past the restaurant, checked reviews and decided to give it a try. We booked a table for the next night and we were glad we did. We had hoped to sit outside but the rain made that a... More

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
