A nice spot for dinner

We enjoyed our meal here, the food was very very good. Only shame was that we were lured in by some empty tables facing the marina only the be seated around the corner with little to look at (the better tables were reserved apparently - though several remained empty through and after our meal... read more

We had the Chipirones (like mini calamari), Paella, Coconut Cream, Lemon Sorbet and Espresso. It was all excellent. We had a really good time. But it can be a bit pricey. Service was very attentive, but its not a warm and fuzzy place. Its a bit more sophisticated, but not cold. Overall, a really good dinner and a good time.

The seafood is excellent, but the service is not good at all. It looked like they are understaffed. The waiters very working hard, but it was just not enough of them

We came here as our friend's recommendation for eating a proper paella. I wasn't disappointed - it was really good and the price was ok. The service was attentive and overall it's very nice place for a dinner. Afterwards, you can have a nice walk along the beach.

Faultless!!! Setting amazing, atmosphere buzzing, such tasty food and waiters that were full of character and helpful too!!! We stumbled upon this having checked out places in port Olympic and decided to settle in the old marina area of port vell! Would definitely return and recommend!

The food was lovely- I had shrimp croquettes (average) & my husband had calamari to start (excellent). Lovely house Rioja. Mains were fab - paella & ravioli. The deserts were sublime - coconut cream and a trio of deserts. Great food, great service & great location just a tad pricey but a lovely treat at the end of our stay.

Sitting outdoors, amazing mussels!! We ate at about 7.15 and they had minimal waiting staff so service was a little slow and then 7.30 it was like ants out of the woodwork and it was a swarm of waiters so the hint is, dinner after 7.30 works better (but we are in spain so we knew we were early to... We were looking for a nice restaurant to have paella on Mother's Day and someone recommended this place. The food was okay, but I have had tastier, better paella in the United States. We enjoyed the salads to start very much and the location is active and fun. The menu says 2 euro pp for extra bread. They gave us... More

We just left, one of the worst meals we had on this trip. Bad service and salty food. The pasta in the seafood dish was not good, the seafood didn't even seem too fresh. Oh and they charged us 4€ for two bottles of tap water. We ate at a street side bar/resturant yesterday great food and it was under... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
