This restaurant was recommended by friends, so we had high expectations before we arrived. But it was really one of the biggest restaurant-disappointment of our life.. The food was OK, not exceptional, just fine. But the service.. Terrible, of let me say: NO service at all. The waiters don't speak English, which is not a big problem if everything goes... More

Nicely located in the harbour area so some nice views from the table outside although the quality of the food was mixed. Considering the cost of the dishes I was expecting something a little better. My girlfriend had scampi which was nice and I had a steak which was possibly the worst steak I've ever had (and one of the... More

On our final night we wanted to try a restaurant in a new area of town we had not tried before. We ended up down by Port Vell and Merendero de la Mari A very comfortable restaurant with both inside and outside dining options. We found the waiters total lack of english hard after every other restaurant we had eaten... More

Set right on the edge of Port Vell, it attracts lots of tourists and could easily focus on catering for them. We enjoyed a long Sunday lunch sat amongst mostly Spanish families, with their exquisitely behaved children. The food was fantastic, from the tapas style starters to our 3 types of Paella.

Pretty OK restaurant, but really nothing special. I liked the mixed seafood. Crema Catalan was way too cold!

You need to have a meal by the port if you visit Barcelona. Here you get the views, the good wines and the traditional tapas and Paella, there is seating outdoors to watch the world go by and absorb the coastline, a bit of a breeze in February so we ate indoors. Fish is fresh and food is great. I... More

we had lunch on Monday in February in the sunshine. We had a table outside and I asked what was the best fish of the day. I had Hake and my partner had paella. Wonderfully presented and really fresh fish. Simple dish but really pleasant to eat. A glass of Cava went well with the fish. We had coffee rather... More

Had a great meal here while on a short business trip. I had the Zarzuela for my main - basically, a paella without the rice - which was fabulous. All washed down with an amazing wine. Location is great, being down in the marina area. Only a 10-15 minute walk to La Ramblas.
