Great location, good food, a bit pricey

Excellent location with a beautiful terrace overlooking the port. We had paella for 2 and it was really flavoursome, service was kind and not overbearing. I was surprised there was not too many patrons but also I went there in low season, and that's why. The only downside was the bill... a bit too... read more

I expect to pay up for location (and this place is on the pier) but when I was recently there with 3 adults and 3 children and they charged us 14 Euro for just seven small pieces of bread that is just extortionate. Any business that practices this (and does not tell you that your cost of bread to sit... More

We sat in the January sun on the terrace and had a good lunch as the world walked by. We left wondering whether our table neighbour (Swiss?) would leave his wife and move to Barcelona to be with his glamorous mulatto girlfriend. They were still negotiating this issue when they left. As I was eating my ravioli and prawns I... More

Went to this restaurant with some friends for dinner. Its situate at the water front with a great view of the water front. The menu is excellent with the great dishes especially the noodle lobster and the monkfish. The service is very good and cheerful. They also have an excellent house rioja. Will definitely come back again.

Great varity of fish food, well prepared and very delicious. The prices are a little bit high but the portions are big. Located in a nice area of Barcelona.

The location is really perfect- in front of the sea in a nice building. The food was lousy- I didn't like anything at all and I eat everything..... Wouldn't recommend it unless I ate all the wrong things but that was the opinion from all others from our table.

The good thing is that everyone can order a different plate of paella/fideua which is not always possible in Spain. Quality was excellent and quantity of seafood was also above expectations. They have a beautiful terrace with views on the port. Prices can be on the high side sometimes. This was our second time there and it was as good... More

Recommended by a native as the place to eat. It is as i would say just like him fashionable! but do not let this detract from the restaurant we had a wonderful meal and really excellent service from the waiting staff. A chilly Barcelona evening still had views of the portside and with the flames rippling from the heaters to... More

We have visited Barcelona on many occasions over the years and eaten at a number of the restaurants overlooking the Marina at Port Vell but this was our first time here. We came with a large group of friends and it could not have been a more perfect way to spend a Friday lunchtime. We had a lovely table outside... More

We had anchovies for starters and then a black rice and a black fiedua -- all three dishes were excellent. We opted for a table outside as it was a beautifully sunny day, so could enjoy the food while overlooking the "Port Vell" and the sea, and the multitude of weekend dwellers in the area. Staff was very professional and... More

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
