best tapas in town...

when you'll reach ciudad condal you'll have two options, standing inside the bar and explore the catalan way of eating (standing), or sitting outside and served by the wonderful waiters. the food is fresh, tasty and good value for money.

First time in Barcelona. We noticed lots of locals waiting for lunch. It was only a 10 minute wait for a table. The food was excellent. We absolutely loved the fried artichokes, mini hamburgers (thanks to our 8 year old, for introducing us to this decadent slider.) Greek Salad, Spanish Omelet, and Sangria, to name a few items. We will... More

My wife and I went here one night and had a wonderful time. We had to wait about 30 minutes but from what we had heard about the restaurant we toughed it out and waited and we were glad we did. If you go get the sangria! It's great

Ate here twice while in Barcelona and loved it. If I lived in Spain I go once a week. Always a lineup but worth the wait.

Found this tapas bar in Barcelona on the first morning of our visit and had one of the best meals. Good ambience, food and service, all at an excellent price.

Top drawer! Worth a visit any time. We liked the fact that with 2 glasses of wine, we were still under 40 euros and had excellent tapas in a vibrant, modern setting. Be prepared to wait though as it's super popular -for a reason.

To begin with the wines are pretty medicore. We had a Chardonay. It was quite mild and it was quite weak. It was nearly tasteless. We ordered the assorted tapas. Big mistake. Order specific items. The deserts were good, the coffee just ok. Service was slow and the place was noisy.

We ate at Cuuidad Condal twice while in Barcelona. The first time we went with a group of 8. The waiter suggested that he bring out an assortment of tapas, which would cost about 25 euros each, but we decided to put our heads together and figure out a selection on our own. We made some delicious choices, including potatoes... More

What a place! The tapas not only looks good laid out in the bar but, for the better part, is delicious. There is a huge variety of dishes which allows a more adventurous palate to sample bites that are not always available, or you may not normally try in a full meal. It seems like every hour is a "peak... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
