This little place was recommended by a Barcelonian who said that it was very popular with locals. We had walked passed several times at various ties of the day and noted that it was busy all day and night often with queues to be served. Deciding to give it a go we chose 4 tapas and although they were not... More

By far the best restaurant of tapas type in the whole of Barcelona! Love the atmosphere, the people and surely the food. They create magic in here! Good luck, you're about to have the best meal of your life in here!

Great food, great ambience and wide selections. Definitely must try their sliced octopus which is so fresh and chewy with the right amount of condiments.

We were fortunate to stay very close to Ciudad Condal during our stay in Barcelona so we visited the place several time. It was great on each and every occasions. Excellent tapas, fresh, tasty. Siiting on the bar is by far the preferable option - what you see is what you get - and you get it right away. And... More

A great selection of tapas in a lively setting. Worth the wait if it's crowded. Menus available in english. Loved the squid a la plancha (grilled), chiparones (fried baby squid) and thinly cut fried artichokes.

We went here three different times during our visit to Barcelona. We went early each night well aware of the popularity of the place. First night two seats at the bar , great atmosphere, food and wine were excellent. However we noticed when we left it was getting pretty crowded. Second night scored the same two seats at the bar... Recommended to us by both a driver and a guide, we visited Ciudad Condal twice during our recent five day stay in Barcelona. This is a bustling place on a busy corner which is well worth the wait, the crowds and the noise. You will enjoy montaditos tapas here, especially the langostinos, camembert crujiente and cangrejo (crab).
