Favorite tapas in Barcelona!

The hotel concierge sent us here our first night in Barcelona and it was a great suggestion. We had to wait a it for a table as this place was hopping. Food was fresh, nice variety and reasonably priced.

The place where we first had tapas in Barcelona, proved to be the best (at least for us). It was offered by the hotel staff where we stayed. Fortunately we got there around 11 pm, so we had to wait only 20 min. Earlier it seems impossible to get a table there without reservation.

We ate here on recommendations from hotel staff and the cruise line representative. It is a very popular restaurant with locals so be aware it is hard to get a table between 2-3 and after 8:30. We went about 8 p.m. and were seated in about 20 minutes. We sat at the bar until our table was called and were... More

This place is refreshing if you are looking for tapas that is not deep fried & the main part is not bread of some form. Yes, there is some bread but many of the dishes don't have. The staff are incredibly knowledgable about the menu items and excellent at assisting you at pairing them. I had the asparagus with mushrooms... More

Lots of local business people and some tourists. Not much English spoken but our waiter was excellent and brought us a selection of mouth watering tapas to share. All at an excellent price. The real thing!

I am no expert in tapas bars, but I think this one is very good. However, make sure you don't get confused - I suggest ordering cold tapas from the bar, rather than from the menu, even if you sit in the restaurant upstairs. The price if each tapas is about 1.5-2 EUR which is a bargain! They are very... More

This is probably the best tapas place in all of Barcelona.. They have a great selection of tapas and the taste is absolutely amazing.. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the service is just excellent. Expect to discover some great recipes and Lear a few tricks.. Prices were fair, I will say well worth it...

We loved this place so much, we returned for more. Delicious and varied tapas. We ate in restaurant and another time were lucky to score seats at the tapas bar. Attentive staff. Very well frequented so get there early. Highly recommend.

We love this place. Best to try for an early lunch since getting a table is often a problem. At dinner time it is slammed. Just returned from our traditional visit to this spot. Got there just as the doors opened and watched them slide one scrumptious delight after another onto plates by the bar where we sat. You can... More

Very popular place for both locals and tourists. It's a little bit expensive but worth it for the good quality and good service. It's not the best in Spain but it's the safest tapas option in Barcelona. They have a variety of selections of dish of the day. You should try those rather than the dishes on the menu. If... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
