Great place for Tapas

We've decided to give this place a chance after trying Cerveceria Catalana which is couple of blocks away (same owners). If you don't speak Spanish, ask for the English Menu. Even though the menu is written in English, it's sometimes hard to understand what you might get. It is not a problem as... read more

Cozy restaurant, good variety of tapas! If you go for lunch ask for the daily menu, otherwise they won't show you. Tapas and montaditos were vey good. Thursday, Friday and weekends at night can be very crowded!

it is the best tapas in Barcelona. You cannot miss this when you come to Barcelona. I like their clam and beef so much.

We visited Ciudad Condal Friday 20 February 2015. We had to wait more than the indicated 20-30 minutes to get a table, but it was definitely worth the wait. We ordered a variety of tapas, all fantastic. The waiter made sure that the tapas came in a timely order, so we were able to enjoy the tapas to the full.... More

This an "old friend" for tapas in Barcelona. It keeps the quality of the tapas over the years. It is usually crowded, so just get your name into the list and then give a walk the Ramblas de Catalunya and back. It always takes longer than what they say (take 50 min if they say 30 min). But worth the... More

Love this restaurant, great atmosphere at the bar, fantastic value for money, if you can get a seat at the bar and watch the scene in front of you. Great tapas in a great atmosphere. Recommend visit.

This bar has the best tapas in town, the menu has a lot of choices and we couldn't decide which one to order because they all seemed delicious! The best part is that they were!!!

During my stay in Barcelona I wanted to try a good tapas bar. Probably this one is one of the famous in town cause it was so crowded. Tapas and service is good and you can feel a real tapas bar. The value was excellent. I tried several montaditos (the one with camembert and jam, the one with spanish omelette),... More

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
