I always follow trip-advisor to find suggestions, but this one is really off. The veal wrap we ordered came in with partial icy part which meant they just reheated the frozen wraps but didn't heat up evenly. Really disappointing food quality besides the food portion is so small although their staff is very polite and friendly and food presentation is... More

It is a cosy looking place set in an old residential area. Do not expect a sparkling, bright high street restaurant. Staff are polite and pleasant and their english is adequate (like mine :) ). If you want to sample different food you will not find everywhere, this is for you. If you are a fussy eater or after substantial... More

Very quaint local restaurant in pretty Barcelonetta. It had good reviews so we took our large group of 8 on a Monday night at 8:30PM. They were able to seat us although very quickly the restaurant was completely full. The menu is different everyday and most people order from an innovative tapas menu. A few in our group really wanted... More

We had some good starters in this restaurant, then ate a paella which contained some very small seafood and was too salty according to us. Overall: okay experience.

Food is absolutely beautiful and served in a quirky way. Our waitress was so attentive and friendly. We came with our one year old daughter and we had a high chair for her and her baby food was warmed up. This restaurant is hidden away in one of the narrow streets and the ambience is quite rustic. This place must... More

A small and cozy place, with focus on the important stuff: food and wine. The concept is slow food tapas, everything made from scratch. Very interesting menu with several specialities aka norwegian crayfish, tempura frog legs, suckling pig, oysters... We enjoyed the food, cooked to perfection. Very tasty, nice combinations and especially skilled heat treatment of the seafoods. We tried... More

Stumbled accross this gem of a resturant by accident, just walking the streets. Top draw is all i can say, the food is amazing, such great quality and great thinking by this young chef. Words can not convey how much we enjoyed our experience in this eatery. Service brilliant and everyone in there was just dumb founded about the food... More

This restaurant is signalled by the now available Slow Food app for Barcelona, an outstanding app if you look for excellent restaurants, often off the beaten path, that offer great food at decent prices. This restaurant uses a lot of "Km0" products, from the area. Very creative cuisine, wonderful tapas for taste and appearance (just have a look at the... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighborhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
