Good Place for a Beer and a Sausage

The staff is very nice. The beer is cold. and the Hungarian Sausage compliments the beer very well. Good place.

Really good beers. High quality for the food : try the Choucroute garnie or tapas with your beer. Good prices and professional service. Many thanks.

Alt Heidelberg was a great German Beer Bistro some years ago. Their sausages were probably the best in town. Today it's a mediocre and noisy restaurant with lousy service. The food is not bad but not good either. It's a pity that they have lost the Bavarian spirit and have become such an average place.

Avoid this restaurant like the plague! To start with the service was poor, the waiters looked like zombies! They couldn't even get the bread rolls right, which felt like we were biting into a rock!! The Greek salad.... Well it weren't no Greek salad and im surprised they had any cheese left!! The worst potato bravis we had in Spain...... More

Not exactly Spanish but I had the goulash and the beef melted in my mouth. Seemed like mostly locals going there having brats and sausages but I think what I had was better! Great beer selection and fairly priced. Near Universitat metro stop.

Take the best of German beer, add a few more from around Europe and further afield. What a great choice and at a great price! Take the great Spanish tapas idea and some great Spanish tapas - then add in some superb German 'tapas'; chesses, meats, veggie stuff from small snacks to meals; at the bar or at a table.... More

After reading the reviews we decided to try it out because it was so close to our hotel. We had a good waiter, Richard. The food was not great but not bad so we weren't disappointed.

We stumled upon this Tapas bar and didn't regret it. Vast selection of tapas and goood beer in a typical mix of locals and tourists. Well treated meat of all sorts, very good salpicon

Staying in Eixample

Neighborhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
