A lively, friendly local restaurant. Away from the high-spots, but well worth it!

Staying in the nearby hostel at Casa de la Moneda, we didn't fancy the climb back to the flesh-pots of Segovia, so sought out San Marco, just across the river-bridge. We were rewarded with (between the two of us, I hasten to add), half of a tender, tasty, succulent suckling pig, a superb salad... read more

Went to Segovia with my Spanish family and I was taken to this restaurant. We where welcomed warmly and the starters at the counter where just amazing. After plenty of seafood we where taken upstairs to the dining room. Since I was told we where going to Segovia I was mad about the world famous cochinillo, and I was not... More

If you want to stay out of the crowds in the center of Segovia, then come here. It's very close to the Alcazar so a perfect place for lunch after visiting. Friendly staff and good food.

My wife and I ate here nearly a year ago and I was never going to review it because it is really something that should be kept for the locals. But, if you do want to try something outside of the city walls and taste the best cochinillo out there, then this is the place for you. Decor is not... More

I'm just looking forward to / backward on my next/last stay in Segovia and feel incited to add some comments on restaurants in the area, due to some evaluations I do not understand. San Marcos is on my agenda every time I go to Segovia (~20 our of the 30 last years). When I'm with a group of friends, I... More

Chose this restaurant because of the many positive Spanish reviews but it seems that you need Spanish friends to enjoy the meal fully. My wife ordered the monkfish(19 euros) and all that was on the plate was the fish with a sauce. Friendly service and the little cafe in front has good tapas- orejas, anyone?

I noted the ranking of other readers and tried San Marcos. It was great. Two Madrilenos in our group were equally impressed. We ordered shellfish, fish and meat for 2, actually enough for 3 or 4. My 12 year old kept asking for more after trying some of the shellfish. The meat was also excellent. The polygon shaped Church of... More
