The Ponche Segoviano, or cake with puddling covered in marzipan is absolutely the best! The croissants are really good, too, and the coffee is better than most in Spain, but the Ponche Segoviano is worth a trip to Segovia! You can buy individual portions, so you can take some with you for the road, as we did.

And any other kind of typical pastry treat during the day! Don't go here if you are on a diet, why torture yourself!

We tried this pasteletia based upon trip adviser reviews, and we were so happy we did. We bought a Ponche Segoviana for 3 euros to try, some pine nut and almond "cookies," and cream puffs. The Ponche was very unique and delicious, but be aware- it is very sweet. The cookies were also good, but the chocolate and crema puffs... More

Good location on square, good pastries and snacks for lunch or a snack. Oh and the all important restrooms for tourists! Friendly service.

I did the usual tourist thing.. Popped in for my 3€ ponche segoviana. Very very sweet, you'll only want the small one unless you're sharing. Everything else looked fabulous!

This pastry shop has amazing cookies, cakes, and pastries of all kinds, but the best of all is the Ponche Segoviana -- a delicious treat that's wrapped in marzipan. The women who run the shop were pleasant to deal with. We went all 3 days we were in Segovia.

For a mid day snack and some pastries in a bakery that was most accommodating do stop here. They are right off the Plaza Mayor and it's hard to choose which pastry to have so do what we did - have several! You won't regret it.

Initially we just stopped to ask directions to the castle. The staff spoke little English but went out of her way to give us directions. We each had an ice cream and sweet pastry and set off for the castle. We had intended on a large lunch of suckling pig, but when lunchtime came opted to return to the pasteleria... More

We stopped in to try the specialty, which was good but very rich. They look small but could be split by two people. Staff wasn't the friendliest we encountered in Spain...but they weren't rude or anything.
