Touristy but nice

Was going to try some suckling pig and wanted to go to Jose Maria but only opens at 8 which didn't work for my train back to Madrid. This place opens at 19h30 and is one of the 3 supposed rated pig places in this lovely town. The meal was nice but I don't see what the big deal is,... read more

Great restaurant next to the aqueduct. We got a very best baby suckling pig for our lunch. we also love the bread with the virgin olive oil. great attraction for cutting the whole baby suckling pin on the table.

Many locals recommended this restaurant as the absolutely best place to eat in Segovia. It is a lovely restaurant with very comfortable seating and tables. But it is a bit of a mill and the food, while totally adequate and tasty, may not necessarily be worth the rather high cost (e.g., "cochinillo" -suckling pig- is about 24 euros for lunch... More

We were told that this was a must during our visit to Segovia so we indulged. As we settled into our table we noticed that the place was packed with tourists. Of course we ordered the "cochinillo" and it was very good indeed. It seems that even though the place is quite touristy, it has kept the quality of it's... More

Excellent location right in front odf the Aqueduct. I have been several times with many positive experiences but last week I wasnt too impressed. The food was very good but the service was extremely slow and they had lots of tourists rather than locals. It took very long to order and especially to get the check. After 20 min of... More

Good Traditional Spanish asador with a lovely view on the Roman Aqueduct. 15th Century building loaded with memorabilia testifying to the long lived tradition of this restaurant. Had the Cordero Lechal ( lamb) and was well cooked and juicy, busy when i went but service was good and courteous from our waiter. Very good Tinto de casa from the ribera... More

I took my children there, my father used to rake me there as a child, the decor is still pretty much unchanged as well as the menu. The service is prompt and courteous, the food, just as I remember, good and plentiful. The Cochinillo asado is their star dish.

Roman aqueducts are just in front to the restaurant! The best place (to my own opinion anyways) to eat in Segovia! the landmark dish is 'Cochinillo' which is succulent pig wow! My husband and I order one starter that we shared and then the main course was the 'Cochinillo' which was served with fresh rustic bread, unbelievable taste! House wine... More

Historical building next to the aqueduct. We got a very warm welcome at the door by the son of the owner. My client told me that the owner (he is in his 80s) tries to welcome every guest personally and whilst he was saying that he already appeared at our table and welcomed everyone personally. He even came back later... More
