I come to salamanca every May/June to teach study abroad. I'm not a vegetarian but the food here is so good it's not to be missed. The word is out the last few years so call ahead to reserve a table!

We stumbled on this restaurant as it was around the corner of our hotel, but I am glad we found it! The food is delicious, and menu has a lot of choice for everybody, also vegetarians get plenty of choice. We were lucky to get a table as walk-ins, but a reservation is advisable, the restaurant was full all evening.... More

I recently dined at El Laurel with two friends for dinner. It's so unusual to find such a good vegetarian restaurant in Salamanca, especially as the city is dominated by meat options. The menu has so many options and it was difficult to choose what to have. The onion soup to start was excellent and would order again. I'd like... More

Couldn't believe my eyes when I literally stumbled on this gem on the edge of the old city. It was too early for dinner but we decided to have early dinner. It is difficult at best to get vegetarian food in Spain and El Laurel just blew us away! The food was sensational, the service outstanding, the wine top shelf... More

It was a good meal, big servings but everything was made out of cheese. Not the most healthiest vegetarian option nor a good option for lactose intolerant people. Great croquettes though!

After trying a superb vegetarian restaurant in Lerida we asked our Salamanca hotel to recommend a vegetarian restaurant. Dinner is not served until 21h00. The decor is fresh, the waitress extremely efficient and friendly but the menu was lacklustre. My husband's deep fried Camembert was lukewarm and I think my Provençal lasagne (which contained a high percentage of mushrooms) had... More

Great food and friendly staff. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived at about 15:30. Quick service, and finally real vegetarian food; hard to find in Salamanca! Entrees (lunch) cost from 7-10€. Dessert 3.50€. There was a menu option for 25€ I would definitely eat here again.

We arrived at this restaurant when it opened to be told there were no tables free. We were disappointed as we were only in Salamanca one night. The waitress/owner? then agreed to fit us in at 3.30 despite the fact they were obviously really busy. I am so pleased we got in - we had the most delicious meal, everything... More
