Great food and friendly staff. The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived at about 15:30. Quick service, and finally real vegetarian food; hard to find in Salamanca! Entrees (lunch) cost from 7-10€. Dessert 3.50€. There was a menu option for 25€ I would definitely eat here again.

We arrived at this restaurant when it opened to be told there were no tables free. We were disappointed as we were only in Salamanca one night. The waitress/owner? then agreed to fit us in at 3.30 despite the fact they were obviously really busy. I am so pleased we got in - we had the most delicious meal, everything... More

In a city where pork products feature on every menu this place is a delight. The 10.50 Euro three course set menu provides a good choice of dishes including excellent salads, soups, rice dishes, vegetables and deserts all well presented and generous and including a glass of organic wine. The service is quiet and efficient. We were in Salamanca for... More

If, like me, you get tied of eating pork each and every day while in Salamanca, do head here. The place is in contest with the life on the streets. While really loud outside, inside is calm with little noise and while calm walls. It's not cheep but portions are generous. Guacamole was superb but oven dishes had to much... More

El Laurel C / San Pablo No 49, Salamanca Spain. Tel +34 923260601 Having arrived into Salamanca after a long drive, we needed a good place to stay and then a good place to eat. This review concerns the latter and more to the point the restaurant El laurel. El Laurel is a pure vegetarian restaurant, run by two sisters... More

We ate here at the end of June and the food was very good, not in the exceptional category but we weren't expecting haut cuisine but still good nevertheless. We had the menu del dia (3 courses) which with a glass of wine, beer and a bottle of water came to 25 euros for the two of us. Can't argue... More

A local friend recommended El Laurel to us, and we went there for the menu del día at lunchtime. Everything we had was great and there was a good variety of options. They also had some really tasty desserts, like a cinnamon flan and a fruit batido. This is a worthwhile stop, especially if you are heading over to San... More

I would like to start with the good things: the staff was very kind and the bread tasteful... We went there for dinner, just in order to go to bed unsatisfied. We decided to go there thanks to the good reviews we had read on trip advisor, but (unfortunately too late) we discovered that the only true review was the... More
