This place is a very attractive room in an old building. The food seems very good, but not spectacular -- very nicely presented, however. They started us off with a complimentary amuse-bouche of foi gras. We shared an interesting appetizer described as "pork stew", but actually a sort of stuffed ravioli, that was very nice. The hake dishes were very... More

The place, staff and most overall the food are outstanding, specially the "jamon". We really loved it. The only but is the price, dont expect to have a good meal for less than 50 euros each (including a beer each and dessert for 2)

We asked our hotel concierge to recommend a good restaurant in Salamanca after a real bad dinner on our first night in Salamanca! We thought there got to be one! We were not disappointed! We did not book but we waited outside for the restaurant to open to try to get a table. Arming with minimal Spanish, we ordered 1/2... More

My partner and i dined here for new years eve and while the wine was ever flowing and delicious we were a little dissapointed with the food itself. The red tuna was nice but ive tasted better from the local market and cooked at home and we were dissapointed with the clarity of the menu as we were expecting capon... More

Excellent restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Nice mix of tourists and locals. Very good wine selection. Tip: Cochonillo is the house/regional specialty, and it is delicious, but be warned, it’s a baby piglet, and it’s a little bit recognizable as such.

I was in Salamanca for a month of language study and passed by this place everyday on my way to the University. What attracted me was the sign by the door saying that it was the winner of the 2013 Salamanca Pincho de Oro award, so at lunchtime one day I went in and sat at the bar and said... More

I was looking for a nice place to eat more on the early side with my parents. This ended up being a nearly ideal place: out of the bustle and tourist life of the Plaza Mayor, but not too far of a walk. The food is quite excellent, although the service was typical for Spain: there, but not perfect. The... More

My husband and I went here very late one evening. They were very accommodating. The location is really nice. It's just off the plaza and great for watching people. We sat at a street side table. Our server did not speak much English and we spoke little Spanish and everything still worked out great. I had a beautiful beef dish.... More

Especially the lamb sweatbread wit onions made an impression. Also the calamari was in a league of its own. At the end f the meal we were very full... More
