Located just outside Plaza Mayor this small place if full of flavor from the area. I would say its cuisine is modern but yet keeping the traditional ingredients of Castillian region.

Inspiration and culinary passion inhabit among the stones of the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca.

The bar and the tables at LasTapas de Gonzalo share history between the Villamayor stone wall and the apse of the Romanesque Church of San Martin.

Historic flavour, aroma of food. A magical atmosphere where over thirty different types of Tapas are presented every day

This new culinary space, Las Tapas de Gonzalo is the evolution of Plaza 23. The same staff, the same passion, but a new concept based on an affordable casual culinary offer, not forgetting the most important thing: high quality products.

The bar, the terrace or the cozy dining room with spectacular views of the Plaza Mayor, these three spaces are the perfect environment for taking part in a cutting-edge culinary experience, that will make your vist to Salamanca, simply unforgettable our

Coulan au chocolat... Yummi!!!

We arrived late for lunch on a Tuesday and we felt very welcome ( which is unusual in Spain). My husband ordered roasted piglet and I had lamb chops. Both very tasty but the highlight of our lunch was dessert. I am a chocolate lover and was very happy with my choice; a perfectly baked petit gâteau!

After wandering around town looking for a place to eat we went back to the Hotel and they recommended this place. Once we found it we were so glad we went. Everything was delish and different. Hake with articoke tempura style was fab. So good we are going back tonight.

A reservation was made by Don Gregorio hotel for lunch and we had a nice little table ready for us. Great service..food was delicious...room a bit noisy as restaurant is small.. the owner came to the table to see if all was okay, which it was. A couple of days later we went back for early dinner and was practically... More

There was a real "Fawlty Towers'' moment as we sat studying the menus in El Mesón de Gonzalo. The waiter came up to the table and asked "¿Inglés?". "Si", we replied. With a flourish he whisked away our Spanish menus and replaced them with English ones. Unfortunately it rapidly became apparent when we tried to order dishes by their English... More

Brilliant food and brilliant service. The suckling pig was the very good as was the calamari starter. Nice surroundings and not too fussy. The best restaurant we visited without a doubt during a 2 week touring trip.

Very nice food, but let down by surly, unfriendly service. Maybe we got the waiter on an off-night, but he first denied we had a reservation and then treated us with barely disguised contempt. It really let down what would otherwise have been a good meal. Also, quite expensive.

This is a very pretty restaurant in the center of Salamanca. We arrived early and were able to get a table without a reservation. Soon after our arrival, the place began filling up with regulars and a few tourists. Both the service and the food were very good. We had Jamon Iberico de Bellota, Beef and a salad - all... More

Being a regular visitor to Salamanca i've been thinking about this restaurant as my well deserved splurge. It's a bit pricy but the meals are prepared with superb ingredients and you just taste the quality in the delicate preparation.

We have been touring around for the past 10 days in what is stated as the best cuisine in Spain. We have had more disappointments than good meals. Our hotel recommended this restaurant which we had not noticed on Trip Advisor. It has a Michelin and other recommendations and is very deserving of them. We shared an amazing Chicken Caesar...
