Fancy food. The restaurant is open reduced hours and it is quite inflexible. Unfortunately, The waiters and the owner are very haughty and give pert answers.

Following Tripadvisor recommendations, we ended up in this small nice restaurant. It took us a little while to find as it is outside the touristic area, but it was worth the visit. We tried the tasting menu, and each dish was perfectly prepared. Service almost perfect, and the food was simply sublime.

we chose the restaurant following tripadvisor reviews … the food was ok… however for a famous restaurant in salamanca it is not acceptable not to offer an english translated menu since the personnel speaks almost no english and it is difficult to communicate….everything we tasted was nice however, we had better dinners in spain…generally recommended...

I was spending 1 week in Salamanca for learning Spanish (still, review in English:)) and wanted to have one good meal after many "student" meals. I was following the recommendations in TA and was not disappointed. I arrived at ~20:30, Thursday, alone. the place was EMPTY. I was asking if I can have a table and they were checking it... More

The tasting menu at 36€ is indeed a deal. Especially enjoyed the calamari perfectly cooked with a tasty thai citronella-laced sauce. Our monkfish was also absolutely perfectly fresh and impeccably cooked. THe porc main course was less successful to our French tastes. The wine list was full of half bottles which was very welcome. The service was kind and attentive'... More

We found this restaurant via Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint, in fact it exceeded our expectations. Close to the city centre, El Alquimista looks quite unassuming from the outside but once you enter, it is stylish and smart. The restaurant is run by the husband and wife team who own it. The staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.... More

A fabulous restaurant. Had a wonderful birthday for my wife last night at El Aquimista and would return in a heartbeat. By far the best restaurant we ate in over six days. Lovely presentations, lovely prices and food with a flair that made no effort to replicate the standard fair in town. Asian inflected fusion Spanish. Michelin recommends it and... More

This place deserves to be full every day it is open. The food is of the highest quality, the service was very good, and managed to be unobtrusive. I had the Monkfish (Rape) and the Cheese with honey and nuts for dessert. Four of us in the party and every single meal was of the highest quality. I would consider... More

Small nice restaurant. Service almost perfect. I was happy as they designed an interesting menu for a balanced price in a record time for a group.
