The food was just ok, nothing special and they definitely took advantage of us. We were charged €2.50 for butter! Go down the street for a better meal!

Good quality but nothing special. We ordered meal mostly and The dishes were full of food. Most of The waiters are really nice. I'm from Spain and I think it's a Classic place for foreing people with menus and tipical spanish food

A great place for breakfast, where you can sit quietly with a coffee and the newspaper and collect your thoughts before facing the day. Have a bun or something too if you like.

Euro 12 pp includes, entrée, bread, main, drink (water, beer, wine or sangria), dessert or coffee. Food is average. Won’t come back. Had the mixed paella – dry and hardly any ingredients – what small diced chicken pieces I had were hard and dry (fried and re-fried), the typical dish of fried suckling pig was beyond friend that it was... poor service -- cold & tasteless food -- prices that are easily misunderstood unless you pay close attention. For example, THREE TIMES the wait staff brought the wrong orders to our table -- and to nearly every other table around us. The only thing going for this place is its location -- near the Cathedral and Plaza Mayor. However, there... More

We were attracted to this restaurant as it had a very extensive range of options available on the menu of the day. Big mistake!!! We ordered wild mushroom and serrano pudding and stewed regional lentils with chorizo for starters, I couldn't eat either, my husband was hungry, so he tried but didn't enjoy them. Next came the main, I had... More

Made the mistake of eating here...saw the 11 euro Menu del dia and ordered. Food was adequate at best but was surprised when the price was doubled. Seems my wife ordered from the "menu for two" listing even though we had an english speaking waitress and we had made it clear that we wanted the basic menu. Had to get... More

We were staying just across from this place and so we thought we would drop in for lunch, Inside, the decor and atmosphere were ok, tradiontal with a slight modern edge (MTV on the tv). After looking over the exstensive menu, we thought we would try a Spanish classis, pealla mixta. After a little wait, not that long, our dish... More

I'm still speechless after eating in such an awful place. I understand the best eateries are rarely in the busiest streets, but in this case I have to say what the bar is really low. We made the mistake of ordering pizzas just to realise minutes later that they were no other than frozen pizzas, precisely Dr. Oekter's, with some... More

I'm taking the time to write a review because lunch at Rua Mayor was excellent. Not only is centrally located, the food was really good and they offer a vast variety of options in their lunch menu. For 15 euros you can have first (I ordered stuffed suchinni) , second (we had paella) and dessert (frish fruits, ice cream, natillas,...)... More
