Good experience

The bistro was a recommendation from our hotel. Located in Plaza de Libertab just a short distance from Plaza Mayor, the bistro is housed in a lovely old building taste’fully converted. We both had the ‘menu erasmus’ offer which is a gin and tonic to start combined with a chicken or beef burger... read more

We ate at this restaurant based on the TripAdvisor reviews. We found the found creative, though pricey, and the portions were small.

This restaurant looked worth a visit following a recommendation- so pleased we followed this up! Not too busy on arriving on a Thursday night but restaurant had a nice feel about it. Waiter was very welcoming and menu offered numerous options for the four of us. Three opted to experiment with dishes and I opted with the surprise menu @... More

Zazu bistro was a delight. After our average tapas experience the previous night in the Plaza Mayor we were happy to try some French inspired food. Our waiter was extremely helpful, spoke English very well and did everything she could to help us in our choices. All the food we had was excellent but the three of us all agreed... More

We've eaten here twice, and very well, after dismal experiences elsewhere in Salamanca. In fact it's been our best eating experience (paradors included) in our whole Spanish fortnight. The cooking is tasty French, and of high quality without the slightest whiff of haute cuisine, thank goodness. Good honest prices and good large portions. A relief after so much bald, meaty,... 5 of us had an unforgetable meal one beautiful evening when our tour stopped in town. Lara - the amazing server with knowledgable suggestions, a lovely sense of humour and impeccable English - made us feel at home. The "surprise" dishes are well worth a try. I had the salad and after saying any food allergies or dislikes to be... More

Julie and I had a wonderful night. Julie's chicken Zazu was delightfully tasty and had a host of green vegetables. My classical cassoulet couldn't be beaten. Our waitress happened to speak English and spent time explaining a number of language matters as well as comments on where we could go outside Salamanca.

We had a great lunch. Our waiter was polite, very friendly and helpful. Our food was delicious, it came out quickly. We were there with our kids ages 2 and 4, and they had crayons and paper for them top draw on. After living in Salamanca for 8 years, it´s fun to go to a restaurant that has different food,... More

We walked past ths place on our way back to our hotel to change for dinner, and resolved ths was the place fr us, based on menu choices including risottos, pastas, several chicken dishes, and generally a feeling of salad and vegetables. We went at 9.45, there was one other table occupied, and although a few more people came later,... More

Were received well by the owner (who speaks French, our second language) and had the chicken kebabs as an entree, the chicken was cooked to perfection. As a main my girlfriend had the hake "en papillote" and I had the bavette. Both were delicious. For dessert we had a delicious cheese platter and the brownie with vanilla ice cream. We... More
