Such a good restaurant I don't really want to recommend it!

OK so this restaurant / tapas / wine bar in central Salamanca is a real find. Not a large place and it gets busy after 9pm (often with locals) but you can belly-up to the bar. The concierge at the hotel recommended for local wines and tapas. The four of us arrived around 8:30, they do take reservations, and came to a very casual, local tapas bar, We ordered quite a few different tapas to try, the portions are large for tapas, and enjoyed every one, but our favorite were the different mushrooms dishes. Friendly service,... More

We stayed in Salamanca on our way to Portugal. We found Vinodiario by chance after wondering around for a while at around 6 pm. This is really what I like most: tables outside in a quite square, good wine list with reasonable prices, excellent english speaking service and a selection of yummy aperitif bites. We had cured meats and cheese.... More

We went there on our first night in S., quite late, not late for Spain though. We were sitting outside, where they have a few tables, which was very nice. Majority of guest were locals, as far as we could judge. The service was very friendly, a bit lame but charming. The food was very nice, some even interesting, as... More

If you need a break from the Plaza Mayor and would like to have a glass of wine and some tapas, indoor or on a nice terrace, this is a good choice just five minute walk towards the cathedral. When we were there is mostly locals who lingered a long time at the outside tables. We had wine, the Iberian... More

...but for having some nice tasty bites with a very nice wine while enjoying a warm late summer night in Salamanca. Absolutely recommendable for romantic evenings.

We were recommended the restaurant by the team at the Hotel Rector. It met all expectations, set on the corner of a quiet street with lovely tables set under romantic lighting. The tapas were amazing and the wine waiter recommended an excellent wine from the Salamanca region. Good value for money, good service and a nice introduction to the local... More

Last night we stayed at Eurostars Las Claras and had dinner at Vinodiario which is only 100 yards away. What a fabulous restaurant this is- the food is delicious and very reasonably priced and the waitress that looked after us was very friendly and charming. Sitting outside at 11pm in summer in Salamanca eating lovely food and drinking good red... More

The wine here is very, very good. Servers also are very good at discussing the attributes of the wines on the menu. I have had one dinner there (a salad), and thought that it was very well prepared. The servings are huge. I saw couples sharing a salad and an entree. In between San Pablo and Gran Via in a... More

Very nice quality food at a very reasonable price for lunch. One of us had a very nice mixed salad with duck ham and the other a smoked cod & marmalade on a baguette. We shared a dish of sheep's cheese with marmalade and each of us had a local beer. All for €28 or $38.
