Last night we stayed at Eurostars Las Claras and had dinner at Vinodiario which is only 100 yards away. What a fabulous restaurant this is- the food is delicious and very reasonably priced and the waitress that looked after us was very friendly and charming. Sitting outside at 11pm in summer in Salamanca eating lovely food and drinking good red... More

The wine here is very, very good. Servers also are very good at discussing the attributes of the wines on the menu. I have had one dinner there (a salad), and thought that it was very well prepared. The servings are huge. I saw couples sharing a salad and an entree. In between San Pablo and Gran Via in a... More

Very nice quality food at a very reasonable price for lunch. One of us had a very nice mixed salad with duck ham and the other a smoked cod & marmalade on a baguette. We shared a dish of sheep's cheese with marmalade and each of us had a local beer. All for €28 or $38.

Arriving late one evening into Salamanca my husband and I wanted a casual light meal accompanied by good Spanish wines. We found the perfect place at Vinodiario. Slightly out of the main tourist area of Salamanca this restaurant is situated on a small plaza a short walk from the Hotel Rector where we stayed. We sat outside surrounded mainly by... More

We selected it as a place that one can eat traditional Spanish tapas. This is far from it. It is a good place to have wine and appetizers if you are not looking for traditional Spanish cuisine. We had a cod fish dish that tasted anything but fresh, far from the tasty Spanish- or Portuguese-style cod dishes that some of... More

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel. We all thought the food was wonderful and not the same old fare. We ordered tapas so there were several dishes to try and none of them disappointed. It's very small and not on the center square but would definitely recommend this restaurant in Salamanca.

I really didn't quite get it I'm afraid. Sitting down to eat what is essentially a series of stylised tapas. The food itself was nothing special...compounded by slow service. The local bar did a better job with their offerings...and less expensive! Keep on walking!

The restaurant was not far from our hotel (San Polo) and is outside the tourist area, quite close to St Stephens. We went for a selection of tapas which were excellent, the restaurant is used by locals (we were the only tourists) and the staff were very friendly and between my appalling Spanish and their reasonable English we managed. One... More

We went to Vinodiario for dinner one evening based both on reviews as well as the fact that the restaurant was near our hotel and NOT near the over-crowded Plaza Mayor. This is very much a casual "neighborhood" restaurant, with most patrons appearing to be locals stopping in for a bite. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Excellent wines by... More

We went three times to this amazing little restaurant and recommend it whole-heartedly. I would not normally keep going back to one place but certain dishes we just wanted to eat again and we wanted to try more. It has a lovely atmosphere-a few tourists in but lots of Spaniards too and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Everything... More
