We selected it as a place that one can eat traditional Spanish tapas. This is far from it. It is a good place to have wine and appetizers if you are not looking for traditional Spanish cuisine. We had a cod fish dish that tasted anything but fresh, far from the tasty Spanish- or Portuguese-style cod dishes that some of... More

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel. We all thought the food was wonderful and not the same old fare. We ordered tapas so there were several dishes to try and none of them disappointed. It's very small and not on the center square but would definitely recommend this restaurant in Salamanca.

I really didn't quite get it I'm afraid. Sitting down to eat what is essentially a series of stylised tapas. The food itself was nothing special...compounded by slow service. The local bar did a better job with their offerings...and less expensive! Keep on walking!

The restaurant was not far from our hotel (San Polo) and is outside the tourist area, quite close to St Stephens. We went for a selection of tapas which were excellent, the restaurant is used by locals (we were the only tourists) and the staff were very friendly and between my appalling Spanish and their reasonable English we managed. One... More

We went to Vinodiario for dinner one evening based both on reviews as well as the fact that the restaurant was near our hotel and NOT near the over-crowded Plaza Mayor. This is very much a casual "neighborhood" restaurant, with most patrons appearing to be locals stopping in for a bite. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Excellent wines by... More

We went three times to this amazing little restaurant and recommend it whole-heartedly. I would not normally keep going back to one place but certain dishes we just wanted to eat again and we wanted to try more. It has a lovely atmosphere-a few tourists in but lots of Spaniards too and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Everything... More

Loved everything we tried, including the rocket, quince jelly and feta salad recommended by another reviewer, the skewered chicken with sesame seed and the thinly sliced pork with pink peppercorns. It also does excellent fish. The wine was all very good too. Plus the ambience is lovely - very welcoming, and the staff are lovely, This place is obviously enjoyed... More

My wife and I enjoy having meals paired with local wines, and Vinodiario did a great job. Pablo waited on us, we explained that we would follow his suggestions for pairing light dishes with local wines, and he did the rest. We had four dishes paired with four wines and it was a memorable meal! Pablo described each of the... More

Great food and wine. Lovely staff and a wonderful night. This place ticks every box. Quince jelly, pine nuts and feta salad was delicious and cheesecake was decadent.

We have stayed in Salamanca several times and have had rather indifferent food on those occasions. We have obviously just picked the wrong place - no reflection on Salamanca. This time was...... DIFFERENT! We had the recommendation of Vinodiario and checked it out on TripAdvisor. All good so far. So we trotted off there last Sunday and what a great... More
