Perfect location. Always busy.

I found this bar very typical. Located just in the corner of one of the best main squares in Spain. Food is good, but the quality of the ingredients is not the best in the market. Free tapas are generous. Really difficult to find a good place to take a sit.

Good value Bar / Restaurant on Plaza Major. Two glasses of Vino and two Tapa (good sized) for €5.60 (March 15). Friendly staff and very popular with locals and tourists.

Just the location, anything else. When we got there the waiter told us it was not time to dine, that it was just too early. It is the Spanish way, I know. But if you are going to be touristic, then be. Because food is not the reason you are going to go there. Food was just too average. It... More

After a rocky start - shunted from front room (with a view of Plaza) even though there were available tables to back room, then a waiter who made us seem invisible for about 10 minutes, things picked up. Waiter was actually pretty good and food was very good. A very busy place and the bar scene appeared to be a... More

I know, that it's and old restaurant with rich history, but it didn't strike me. I was there with a couple of friends. I wouldn't say, that the place is bad, just ordinary place to have a drink with somebody. Adequate prices,

This is a restaurant located in the Plaza Mayor so has great views and people watching attraction. Unfortunately the food is awful, pricey and the service isn't too good either. Salad is limp iceberg lettuce with sliced tomato thrown on too. The patas bravas was like crisps and the steak was shoe leather. It was by far the worst meal... More

Okay so the food is not Michelin quality, the staff don't speak English, it is noisy and crowded (with locals, which is always a good sign), you have to climb a couple of flights of narrow stairs to get to the bar and dining area (avoiding waiters rushing downwards to serve dishes to the tables in the square), and you... Great location, great food, a bit cramped during a busy Semana Santa lunch hour. We had a reservation and our table with a window looking into the Plaza was ready when we arrived!

Climb the worn wooden steps up to Meson Cervantes, and you get a sense that this restaurant has been serving dinners for many years. We enjoyed Sangria and salads, the comfortable ambiance with paintings of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.

We had mixed experiences here, although the view over Plaza Mayor is undeniably great. If you have a sit down meal they will give you a big touristy menu. Go for the racions of jamon and cheeses. Or don't sit down and eat at the bar instead. They have a great selection of eggs+potatoes+various kinds of meat. The farino and... More
