A major disappointment. A restaurant that clearly rates itself judging by the menu prices, but failed to deliver. Food very mediocre, service somewhat graceless and the only redeeming feature was a good house red. As for the tears, that is what an overdose of Balsamic Vinegar does....

We went to Casa Paca on our wedding anniversary eight years ago, and we had a splendid evening. Romance and the mists of time have evidently lent enchantment; our visit this time round – a Sunday lunchtime – wasn’t anything like as satisfactory, Paca’s was all a bit old fashioned and pleased with itself. Service was correct enough and the... More

We had reservations for our party of 6 and were well cared for by the very professional staff. Our mid day meal was delightful in the lively atmosphere and all of the dishes we chose were both a delight to the eye and the palate.

Only an average restaurant at best. We stopped as we thought the meals looked quite nice as we walked passed. When we looked in the wine list, we were put in guard at the options in excess of € 1000 a bottle. The steaks looked good at €20, and offered an inclusive sauce. We passed on a starter, only had... We had the 'Especiales gastronómicas' menu for two people, which was €32 per person: - Gambas de Huelva a la plancha (grilled garlic prawns), with a glass of Rueda - Arroz meloso de marisco (seafood rice) - Chuletón de La Valmuza troceado a la parrilla (grilled steak cut into pieces with chips and Padrón peppers), with a glass of Ribera... We did not eat in the restaurant but had tapas. We managed to get a table with fun but comfortable old theatre seats. The house wine is very good and the tapas were excellent. The choice of tapas available was huge. Great atmosphere, much used by locals for wine and tapas.

Look for a place to have dinner at 8pm ... we found our way to this restaurant. We were seated at a table, presented the menu ... and totally ignored for almost 20 minutes! Meantime we watched the person charged with bringing in patrons from the pavement outside hauling in the unsuspecting. We finally got the attention of a waiter... More

Dec 29, 2013: one of the worst meals I've ever had. And an expensive one. How is it possible to serve such low quality food in such a food loving city? All dishes we tried were mediocre: cochinillo, cabrito and entrecot. Only the starter (mushrooms) was decent. When in the hotel lobby they recommend you to go to Don Mauro... More
