Where locals go to eat good value tapas

We stumbled on this on a quiet Monday evening - or so we thought! By 9pm it was standing room only with no place to perch on the bar. The ribera del duero was very drinkable and at 2.30 euros a glass with a choice of tapa with every drink it was a definite bargain! There is a good selection... read more

This is a modern place that would appeal to the young at night but at any hour this is hands down the best free fresh tapas place in town and the beer and wines are good too! Make sure to be quick to order your drinks and tapas ar the same time and don't forget the freshly grilled free meat... More

We had seen locals heading down the stairs the night before so we went there for lunch the next day. €21 for 8 glasses of wine with tapas (plus an extra tapa we wanted to try). The tapas in the glass display cases are good but this place is about its charcoal grill - with a variety of meaty tapas... More

We shared a Chuleton de Buey and a bottle of Prado Rey here. Then topped it off with a new dessert to us of Leche Frita (fried milk!) Service was excellent - the waiter even bright us the steak on a serving plate and made a first cut in front of us to confirm it was cooked to our taste... More

We enjoyed a late afternoon meal, almost too late! We got in about 3:30 , but were graciously severed, even though it was close to the close time of the kitchen at 4:00pm. We had grilled vegetables that consisted of peppers, eggplant, zucchini ,and mushrooms and it was all seasoned just perfectly. We had the grilled meat plate, which was... More

Good place to start the night. A very busy place but worth stopping at. Service is quick and the tapas we tried were great.

We loved this place. It's underground but the place was full by 8pm. We loved the grilled tapas. Morcilla, Churrasco, and others.

Bambu is a place I go every time I visit Salamanca. It has a good variety of tapas at a great price (a tapa comes with your drink); my favorite tapa is a hot ham and cheese square with a slightly sweetened bread on the top and bottom. It gets very busy (and loud) later in the evening, but the... More

Came here today for a late lunch of tapa and were delighted. Moved on pretty quick to another place which turned out to be a mistake. We had some beautiful ribs and a tortilla that was stuffed with awesomeness(contents unknown). Service was friendly as the guy behind the bar was having fun with my wife's Spanish. We will be back... The place is decorated tastefully which gives a clean and pleasant impression Thier tortilla is made into work of art, so as other tapas. The ribs are roasted so well, that presents a crunchy surface and a juicy inside part, combined with decent seasonig, the dish is just unforgettable. Strongly recommended for drink and tapas in this pretty town
