Great tapas, friendly staff

I loved this place! This is a family owned and operated tapas ("pinchos") bar and restaurant serving up great bites with a smile. There are many such places from which to choose on San Lorenzo street, and after four days in Burgos, this was my favourite. I especially liked the egg and tuna salad... read more

We visited here on our first night in burgos. And the tapas that they had on offer was fantastic. There was something for everyone i had the morcillas (spanish black pudding/haggis ) which was lovely and the overall cost was extremely good value. We visited there a few times over the week we stayed. This Bar is definitely worth a... More

Halfway between San Sebastian and Madrid sits Burgos, a town which I admittedly had not heard of prior to today. After quickly eating at a piece of crap place in San Sebastian, we swore we'd at least look at a few reviews prior to sitting down, even for a quick lunch. So glad we did. This place was a gem.... One of the best tapas of morcilla in town. Ask for cojonudo or cojonuda. They also have amazing mejillón tigre and the best croquetas of my life. Morcilla is the typical tapa in Burgos, but their croqueta is just amazing.

Casa Panho - what can I say. So delicious, homey, comforting and welcoming. Visited twice in our three day Burgos stopover. If I could move to Burgos, I would live at this restaurant. Do yourself a great service, step inside, order El Menu Del Dia and you won't go wrong. Smile, even if you don't know much Spanish, make an... More

The hotel staff recommended this restaurant, dinner blew us away! It's on one of the side streets that have about 20 tapas locations, but we wanted dinner so we chose a different menu. We both had the lamb stew. I hadn't had lamb for some time, it's my favorite meat. This was above and beyond excellent. When we got there,... More

Traveling solo through Burgos and taking a break from walking El Camino, I stopped at Casa Pancho to sample the food. I sat at the bar, tried a couple of glasses of different wines, and ordered several tapas with recommendations, my favorite being the salmon. As more people came in, the bar became lively and fun, service attentive and friendly,... More

Traditional tapas bar. Great food, great service, spotless lavatories and a selection of wines by the glass. Try "una pareja", croquetas, champiñones and the bravas.

I have been a regular here 21 years ago as a student having a cojonudo and tinto joven. Just went back and yes, they have added a dining area and menus are also in english but the food and friendly professionalism of the waiters is the same. Make sure to try a cojonudo and some of the decent riberas by... More
