Joyful place

Busy, nicely noisy, and joyful place; clearly one of those places to be for the locals. We just had a cup of coffee, but there was something different about this restaurant.

in the center of Burgos and in an old warehouse is one of the best restaurants in town, both for lunch and take some tapas and good wine service is excellent and the quality of the food impressive. your blackboard and recommendation of superior wines and variety of tapas is a challenge that can not be avoided if visiting Burgos.... Brakfast with fresh tortilla, orange juice and coffee... fresh, natural, escellent. You have to pick up yóur order on the counter... Unless you seat at the terrace, but once I visited the terrace and in a very rude manner, I was told they did not have that service, I supose that day they did not have enough staff. However, we... I am afraid that I can't agree that this food is the best ever- the goats cheese salad does not match that eaten in a 10 euro menu del dia in Binissalem Majorca, there was too much balsamic vinegar on it. The chicken I had for main was plentiful but average quality. Husband had revuelta which he said was very... More

A few hundred yards from Burgos Cathedral - a 5 minute stroll - & an old fashioned "bistro" style restaurant greets you. Characterful, exposed brick walls, beams, tiles & planked floors. Great , lively atmosphere. Superb steaks "a la brasa" & a succulent goat's cheese salad, as well as the best tempura vegetables we've eaten outside Japan. Service is bustling... More

Choosing a good tapa bar in the beautiful centre of Burgos was not easy because they all look very nice. We finally entered in La Favorita and it was a very good choice: very nice and original recipes for their tapas and above all the very nice service from a Ecuadorian girl who explained the different possibilities and treated us... This place typifies the best of Spain. All generations mix and mingle and eat an amazing variety of Tapas of a very high quality. There is a restaurant "in the back" but we prefer the atmosphere in the bar area, where they will happily set you a table. The restaurant doesn't begin serving until 9pm so one needs to factor... One would not think that in a roomful of mostly men watching a soccer match on TV and drinking mostly beer would serve the best meal we had in Burgos. Seafood seamed their specialty. Limited menu, excellent service. We went back the second night without even searching for a different place. Everything we had was good --- a short walk... More

This place was recommended to us by the receptionist at the hotel, as "her favorite place in town". We can see why. Food was great and affordable, wine was good too. The tapas of 'solomillo' were perfect! We also had the luck to be there on a day they were screening a Barcelona gamea, and the crowd was great.

We found this by chance while walking around Burgos and after having a drink at the bar there decided to return for dinner. We started with some tapas and then had one of the most delicious steaks we've ever eaten. The accompanying wine was superb and the service was excellent. If you like Spanish food, etc this is the place... More
