We had a fantastic meal at Cardamomo this evening. It is slightly out the centre of town (a matter of perhaps a 10 minute walk from the centre of Burgos) and really didn't look very promising at 8.30 pm (restaurant closed, no signs of life in the street). However we were very warmly welcomed as the first diners at 9p.m.... More

After reading the great reviews of the place we were really dissapointed with the restaurant. Compared to the rest of Burgos the food was so expensive and the wine in particular was so overpriced! The food was okay, a nice salad for a starter, and lasagne for main but really not worth all the hype in our opinion!

Deliciously prepared vegetarian food with nuanced flavors! Vegetables and salads seem hard to find in Spain so this is a welcome change of pace after bocadillos and tortilla. We had the goat cheese salad with honey dressing, lasagna, and volveran - all very good. Extremely nice and helpful owners/staff. Highly recommend.

We chose this restaurant as a change of scene for all the meat-centric meals in Italy and Spain. We are not vegetarian but thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The food was tasty and very well prepared and also good size portions. The salad with mango and avocado was very delicious. We followed this with a terrine of spina h, artichokes and... More

This restaurant is beautiful- delicious food and excellent service. After 12 days on the Camino, to find food that wasn't white bread and crammed with meat was heaven. Although it is slightly out of the centre (a nice retreat from the mayhem), it is an easy walk and definitely we'll worth it. Highly recommended!!

Last December I travelled round the northern half of Spain. The food was always good but was often too meat based for me. After a week of living like a carnivore I arrived in Burgos and found this restaurant on tripadvisor. I was not disappointed! The restaurant is a little out of the way and on the small side (25... Had lunch here today as with many other predictions, have been walking the Camino for 16 days and am a little fatigued by the sameness of the food. We are not vegetarianism we loved this tasty food. Had the famous mango and advocacy salad to standard then a spinach replace thing and stuffed tomatoes. Both were suitable for celiac and... More

As vegetarians, it was almost impossible to find good, quality, well cooked meals while walking the Camino in April of 2013. This place was marvelous! The quality is fine; the tastes were excellent. The proprietors were marvelous - helpful and very concerned that we enjoy our meal. And we did! I would encourage any vegetarian to seek out this place.... More

After walking 7 days of the Camino we were looking forward to a classy vegetarian meal and we weren't disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious, with a great choice of Mediterranean & global flavours. The wine list was excellent too and the restaurant itself, although small, was very chic. Cardamom was a pleasant 10 minute walk from the centre (you... More

After traveling on the Camino de Santiago for several weeks, my boyfriend and I were literally getting sick from too many tortillas de patatas and ham bocadillos. This place was heaven sent! We shared a salad that featured avocados and mangos and a delicious dressing, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals of lasagna and couscous. Also awesome: freshly pressed... More
