Description: This is the house that Aurelio Montero founded in 1953 in a small space, with only two rooms. It is the oldest eatery in the historic center of Toledo. The whole family attended the business, the kitchen and the tables, with the good taste of the grandfather Joseph, and the partridge recipe "with secret" from Grandma Paula and of course, the tenacity and hard work of a boy of 16 who already knew business, offering each day a premium product, a simple kitchen but careful and friendly service.Sixty years later, the spirit of that good work survives. And if you look around, the atmosphere and decor, the table and the tablecloth, the cup and the dish did not recreate, but retain the furnishings and objects, the charm and tradition of the time, with their advantages and disadvantages, with its successes and impossible combinations, but making this our home, a unique and unrepeatable place installed in the heart of Toledo. We feel that time may stop while you also slows the pace, breathe easy, low tone, raises the spirit, ask for a wine and finally eat. Cuchifrito, lamb, partridge, cod, chicken broths, soups, white beans along with wine and beers to taste.Traditional Mancha with a touch of sincerity Aurelio style.Today the house has been extended and has a reserved and two dining rooms for a total of 75 people. Could be our slow food ."Because our servers are hopeless romantics break the dishes after just a meal: water lilies or dishes that mimic horseshoe crabs, swift wings, goldfish, swirls, spiracles in a rictus: all smashed against the edge of the table chef ... but also refrains from using pepper & salt in favor of violets & eve & squid ink wasps and honey & rare lichens grown in the county snow authentic dark silt of the Nile or the Tigris. Would not it know that poultry meat, if cooked well, heals the most common mental illnesses? 's something related with feathers. ... but you're hungry. Spend. Sit. Evidence.

スペイン最後の昼食を堪能しました‼︎ We received " Sorry for waiting just over 10 minutes ". This was the first sorry in Spain. We offerred the special lunch at 30.90euro. It tasted good. Wine and aqua are free. We've all satisfied with them!! We enjoyed last lunch in Spain!!

Casa Aurelio Ayuntamiento is a small restaurant in the center of Toledo. Serving typical Toledo dishes. We had the menu of the day for lunch and were very pleased with the quality of the food. After we were worn out from visiting the beautiful cathedral we wanted good, wholesome comfort food. We happened in to Casa Aurelio about 3:00 and had a fabulous mid afternoon meal of deer stew and shaved pate. Everything from the main ingredients to the side of fresh raisin bread was delicious and just what we were looking for.

We loved this small cosy bar/restaurant. Other users were friendly and the staff great. Their special menu looked good on other table so we will be back.

The restaurant has a nice, old-fashined atmosphere. We were starving and decided for the daily menu (starter, main, dessert). Maybe that was the mistake, we should have chosen from the wider menu. I had castillan soup (unusual, but not exciting), the lamb cutlets (nice, but little meat), and a sorbet (also nice). The other dessert option was very disappointing: some... More

A great find, just near the Cathedral and serving local cuisine and wine. Kashif the waiter made us feel very welcome from the start, we had a quick lunch there on our first day, a local regional soup (garlic, bread, ham and egg soup) delicious, filling and very warming. Our dinner two nights later was also very tasty (we had... More

Last night in Toledo and my husband and I and 2 friends were looking for a restaurant serving excellent Spanish cuisine. Although we had sampled a few less expensive menu del dias during our trip, we wanted to sample the local partridge speciality dish and other tastes of Spain in a comfortable and inviting environment. The restaurant scored highly in... More

Four of us had the menu del dia at 18 euros. It consisted of a traditional Spanish soup, partridge and a sorbet. The décor was interesting and traditional and the hospitality warm. The whole experience was superb and we would recommend it to anyone.

Casa Aurelio is a group with several locations in Toledo, possibly leading to confused reviews, if not bewildered travellers. We ate at Sinagoga (not Aurelio II). The room is light and pleasant, with various pictures - including a surprisingly panted torero. The atmosphere is formal, but relaxed. There is a long menu, accompanied by an excellent wine list. All three... More

One of the better restaurants in Toledo, with three locations, two right across from the Cathedral. Very rustic meals, Partridge Toledo and Pickled Deer were the highlights of the meal. The staff was friendly and we had an enjoyable meal. Reservations can be made online.
