Very traditional restaurant with great garden and terrace

We enjoyed traditional Spanish cuisine both at the terrace (when serviced) and inside. The place reminds to an old hacienda, very spacious and with traditional decoration. A Spanish colleague suggested we ate here on a business trip. The garden setting was delightful, and a pleasure to sit in. We ordered battered cod, which was perfectly cooked along with French fries which were also cooked to perfection, along with the fresh bread and good olives provided it was a good size meal.

Lunch here with Tauck tour. Set menu: shared starters, fish or beef, dessert. A lot to eat for lunch. Bread was hard as a rock. Our table of 4 had 3 beef, one fish. Red wine was on the table, but white was slow to arrive. Fish was very good, but a lot of bones. Beef was good, but a... More

Two couples had lunch here. We are experienced travellers and diners. We were enjoying our trip to Spain very much. We are positive people, not inclined to complain. The meat dishes served here were simply terrible. The suckling pig is a disgrace. The suckling lamb, the same. The venison less a disaster. To be fair, the wives ordered fish and... More

the restaurant is attached to the hotel del Cardinal and it is associated with the famous CASA BOTIN restaurant in Madrid,. The staff are supurb, the spanish onion soup and roast suckling lamb or pig is remarkable and the cost is very reasonable.

This starts out looking like a very promising lunch venue in an attractive historic building with a lovely terrace and garden. Illusions quickly subdued by waiter who grudgingly allowed us to take a window table in the near empty restaurant after trying to park us in a corner. The wine we chose was excellent, a Verdelho from Rioja and everything... More

We were in Toledo to visit the mosque and across the street stopped in to Hacienda Del Cardenal's bar for some afternoon tapas. Great Serrano Ham and other little treats, perfect snack to settle the stomach before our car ride down to Marbella.

Beauty of the Original Cardinal's residence ends at the front door. Went to Toledo for the day and had a sit down lunch here. I was really hyped up to try the Suckling Pig which was their speciality. Even on my way to the restroom the Suckling Pigs already prepared on their platters by the wood burning Oven looked beautiful.... More

I've had far better cochinillo and cordero lechal elsewhere. The setting of the restaurant is lovely with the courtyard and pleasant bar.
