Perhaps the best restaurant in Toledo

In general Spanish food lacks the refinement of French food, which is why I rated Aldolfo with only four stars. Certainly the service and atmosphere rate five stars, and the food is about as good as Spanish food ever gets. Thus, among Spanish restaurants, I would put Adolpho in the top two percent... read more

We have used this place twice and not been disappointed. The food is rather individual but good and they work hard to make your stay enjoyable. The staff are smartly dressed and attentive. Pop in and try it!

I don't often give 5 stars any longer as I feel a place, whether restaurant, hotel or other venue, really have to be exceptional to deserve the accolade, but Restaurant Adolfo does deserve it. I was visiting friends in the south Madrid suburbs and wanted to visit Toledo and my friend recommended suckling pig as a typical dish of the... More

Dear customer, Thank you very much for heeding the recommendation of his friend, and thanks to it, your dining experience was a success. It has been a wonderful pleasure to serve from the beginning to the end. My father and myself, Veronica, always serve our customers table to table, asking for food and always worrying about your satisfaction and comfort.... More

We were steered toward Adolfo's restaurant by mutual friends and enjoyed an amazing meal! It is definitely a 'fancy' restaurant but mid-day it is primarily people, like us, coming in from sight-seeing. We enjoyed the 'Chef's menu' and were not disappointed by anything in the seven or eight courses. Everything was new and prepared and presented beautifully. It is expensive... More

Dinner for two on a thursday night was not a very pleasant experience. Lets start with the price. Bread rolls for two people €12. Should be half this. Starters in the region of €30. I had king prawns with sautéed veg. That's one prawn on a plate of veg €30. Too expensive as were the main courses. Everything is twice... More

I can not say enough about the gracious service, the welcoming warmth, and the amazing quality of the food. It was like suddenly remembering what going out to eat is all about. Shout out to Ace - a gentleman like no other- took expert care of us. View from roof-top bar is breathtaking. We had both dinner and lunch --... More

This was the final evening of our holiday and we had saved the best till last. We have lived in Spain for 10 years and this must be one of the best meals we have ever had. The cooking is brilliant and each course was exquisite. The wine was really good. As another reviewer said Restaurante Adolfo is a hidden... More

This has to be the best restaurant in Toledo if not in the whole of Spain. We had the Chef's Menu with a bottle of the House Wine (Vino Tinto). The service is impeccable and every course special. So the two aperitif courses were special. Then a gaspacho. This was followed by a ceviche that was perfect. A merluza (hake) dish... More

We were in Toledo for just a few hours and didn't want to eat at a touristy cafe. We quickly researched and found a recommendation for Adolfo. We didn't realize it was as fancy as it is. Ok, it's fancy but we were greeted warmly at the entrance even though we were dressed for sightseeing. We ordered the chefs menu... More
