In the Heart of The Spanish Empire

La Abadía is a nice place to visit, have a few tapas and keep on going. The building is worth to explore. I recommend the selection of local dishes like Migas. They come in pans and you get a pretty good idea of local cuisine. Always packed

We had dinner at this restaurant after being recommended by a local. My wife had a beautiful salad, with mushrooms and grilled cheese, absolutely beautiful. I had the Brazillian grilled steak with roast potatoes. It was meant to be rump. Steak but was juicy, tender and altogether lovely. The service was superb, and the atmosphere lovely. Altogether a memorable night.

The food was yummy, the service was fast, the waiter was great despite speaking only a little English and the portions were big. For 2 people we had about 3 tapas and one main and we were more than satisfied. Have to try the fried cod in garlic batter!!!!!!!!

If you come to this place, PLEASE try Sangria, if is made by Alba, you won't regret at all, even more, you'll become addicted. It is for sure on of the best Sangrias that we have ever tried, and trust me that we have tried a lot of them! Tapas area ALWAYS included with the drink! Our greetings to the... More

It was our first restaurant in Spain. Very good tapas and other plates. The interior design was extraordinary. The service quick and the staff very friendly.

We walked into La Abadia at 12:45 on a Saturday and were told they didn't serve until 1:00, so we ordered beer and sat in the bar area. We were served, as is customary, a free tapa with our beer. By 1:00 the place filled up with as many people as could fit in the place. We were able to... More

We had been walking around and went to this restaurant by chance . We were so happy with the food, wine and the interior design. We were like dinning in a cave but If the table could be bigger, it would be more comfortable. I had Iberia steak and Mazapan cake (if I could eat more , I would also... More

Our first meal in Spain was in this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Eggplant lasagna, duck ravioli and salmon tapas were scrumptious!

While on a visit to Toledo, I visited la Abadía and was delighted by the food and service. I sampled their lunch menu. I tried the "Menú del día" and was not dispappointed. The meal was superb! For starters, I had a delicious rice dish with vegetables & teriyaki. The main course was venison steak with a creamy mushroom sauce.... More

Probably the best spot in all of toledo due to the combination of respectable beer selection and AMAZING food. Have one or two of the Belgian bottles upstairs while you wait for a table, and you’ll be rewarded with decent free tapas with each drink. Then order a nice (and cheap!) bottle of wine, and head downstairs to eat in... More
