Good tapas at average price

Stumbled upon this place early one evening. Everything we ordered was very good. Eggplant lasagna, cheese salad, bacalao. Nice atmosphere. They even have a kids menu!!

Outstanding steak! Cooked perfectly, generous portion! The setting is cozy. There are various small seating areas downstairs which house maybe 10 tables. The upper sitting area is larger but does not have the same atmosphere. The wait staff was attentive and offered suggestions. Excellent selection of beers and wine. Perhaps the best we encountered in all of Spain. Were I... More

I went to the restaurant with spanish hosts. The food was of a good standard, well presented and tasty. The only fault was the limited amount of sides: a handful of chips and one small bit of sweet potato. This made the dish feel like it was meat with meat. The v

Stopped by early afternoon, enjoyed the location & service was fine. Nothing special to write home to mother, but nothing to complain about either.

The service wasn't the most welcoming, and my family had trouble deciding on what to get, given the slightly high prices. We decided on the tapas assortment plate with salmorijo, pate with salmon, stuffed mushrooms, ratatouille, and croquetas. The waiter almost gravely warned us that it wouldn't be enough, and waited for us to order more, so we ordered potato... More

We, a party of four adults, were recommended this restaurant by our hotel concierge. On arriving at the restaurant we were greeted by a surly waiter named Julio. However, we thought no more about that as the restaurant looked good. When it came time to make our meal selection I asked if the pork was fatty as I dislike fat... More

This restaurant was packed when we arrived. We were lucky to get a table. It was also the best meal we had in Toledo. It was nice seeing a vegetable on the menu and the cod in garlic sauce was also delicious.

Every time I've visited Toledo (5 times and counting) I have had dinner at La Abadia with a group of friends. I have never had a bad experience: good service, very good food and atmosphere. The dinning tables (as opposed to bar) are located in the underground levels, so it is much cooler (temperature-wise) than outside. Note: We are always... More

We had dinner at this restaurant after being recommended by a local. My wife had a beautiful salad, with mushrooms and grilled cheese, absolutely beautiful. I had the Brazillian grilled steak with roast potatoes. It was meant to be rump. Steak but was juicy, tender and altogether lovely. The service was superb, and the atmosphere lovely. Altogether a memorable night.

La Abadía is a nice place to visit, have a few tapas and keep on going. The building is worth to explore. I recommend the selection of local dishes like Migas. They come in pans and you get a pretty good idea of local cuisine. Always packed
