"Raciones" or "rations" are large, shareable-sized plates of food that are the opposite of tapas in Spain. Here, we had planned to eat tapas, but the beautiful Mixto Ensalada (mixed salad, served with fresh lettuce, tomato, beautiful canned tuna, and asparagus) Our wine cost $2 for each glass and came with a little free tapa, and when the salad arrived... My family of 5 went out for excellent tapas. We had grilled asparagus with ham, duck with raspberry, smoked salmon with mushrooms, and a delicious chocolate cake! Our waiter was very friendly and kept us from ordering too much. We have been in Spain a week and it was our least expensive dinner. Would definitely go back again!

We had dinner here, sampling four tapas. Three of the four dishes were pretty "m'eh", but the asparagus dish was very tasty. The sangria was nice as well. There was a bit of a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish, as neither of the fellows there spoke English.

We have travelled to many places, and always try somewhere either different, or off-the-beaten-track, and don't usually go to the same place more than a couple of times, as it's always great to explore. But my, this was a wonderful place to be. Such a lovely quiet location, fabulous waiters, wine and not to mention the food. On our first... More

We found this place by reading the reviews on trip advisor and well worth the 10 minute stroll from hotel medina Toledo. The place was buzzing at 10 pm but we only waited 5 mins with our delicious glass of house wine and nibbles at the bar for them to find us a table. The waiter was lovely, he didnt... More

Found this place by serendipity (we had read about it but feel its out of the main drag which suits us fine as this place is worth it) and we arrived around 6:20 pm and they were setting up (were not open) and then locals appeared to show up and before we knew it it was 8 and we were... More

Toledo is not an easy place to push a pram around all day. We came upon this place by accident on a windy afternoon when we were desperate to stop somewhere for lunch and, having noticed it near the top of the list on trip advisor beforehand, we were only too happy to be welcomed into a friendly and cosy... We were four Canadians who spoke no Spanish and yet were treated as locals. Servers went out of their way to recommend dishes typical to Toledo. Unique atmosphere, excellent house wine and all for 42 euros..

Chose this place as it was no 4 in trip advisor and it well merits its status Packed with locals as it is a bit off track but was minutes from our hotel Food excellent especially the duck in raspberry and apple and the asparagus. But the waiter could not read his own English version of the menu. Not at... More

We loved this spot. The waiter (a joy to watch him work the whole room, with aplomb and style) was very attentive, and the food--ooh la la. The grilled asparagus were divine, as were the different media racions of pork dishes we ordered. Terrific wine and very reasonable. We did find it a bit tough to find but it was... More
