Absolutely great local tapas bar!

A great authentic tapas bar with thoroughly excellent wines and very fast and friendly service. Could not believe how inexpensive it is. Highly recommended!

Recommended by our host and just a short walk from our lodgings. Good, quick, friendly service. We had fresh asparagus, which was superbly cooked and presented as well as the venison dish - just as appetising. Very good value

Ate here a few nights ago. Ordered the tuna/tomato, fried fish and grilled cuttlefish tapas. Food was ok, not my favourite. Wine was good. Meal was reasonably priced at just below 40 euros, but just wasn't that tasty. It doesn't help when the owner seems to be angry to be there. He was pleasent to us, maybe just a bad... More

A bustling local bar / restaurant recommended by our Toledo host. We turned up about 8.45pm on a Saturday night and despite the promise of a half hour wait it was more like an hour and a half. (When you arrive they'll take your name and put you on a list. Small free tapas get served with drinks as you... More

We've eaten a couple of times at El Embrujo when visiting Toledo. The food is always freshly cooked and prepared, with plenty of salads and veggies to choose from. We've not had a dish that we have not enjoyed. Service is always friendly and efficient, portions are generous, and the local wine is excellent. This is a nice, friendly local... More

We are staying in Toledo for 2 weeks and our apartment owner promised to eat with us at El Embrujo and asked us to avoid them so we could be surprised. We were. We actually wish we had our dinner with our spanish hosts earlier, because we would have gone back many time to this, the best meal we have... More

"Raciones" or "rations" are large, shareable-sized plates of food that are the opposite of tapas in Spain. Here, we had planned to eat tapas, but the beautiful Mixto Ensalada (mixed salad, served with fresh lettuce, tomato, beautiful canned tuna, and asparagus) Our wine cost $2 for each glass and came with a little free tapa, and when the salad arrived... My family of 5 went out for excellent tapas. We had grilled asparagus with ham, duck with raspberry, smoked salmon with mushrooms, and a delicious chocolate cake! Our waiter was very friendly and kept us from ordering too much. We have been in Spain a week and it was our least expensive dinner. Would definitely go back again!

We had dinner here, sampling four tapas. Three of the four dishes were pretty "m'eh", but the asparagus dish was very tasty. The sangria was nice as well. There was a bit of a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish, as neither of the fellows there spoke English.

We have travelled to many places, and always try somewhere either different, or off-the-beaten-track, and don't usually go to the same place more than a couple of times, as it's always great to explore. But my, this was a wonderful place to be. Such a lovely quiet location, fabulous waiters, wine and not to mention the food. On our first... More
