A great place to end a tour of Toledo

Having walked this lovely city for a few hours we wanted a light lunch and a rest. This restaurante was close to the escalators that take you down to the lower town and car parks. I am absolutely disgusted reminding that restaurant!First, when we arrived in Toledo our guide Maria, who wasn't very interested to speak in English, but almost all of the time spoke in Spanish decided to sell to me and my wife a ticket for Palacios restaurant in Toledo. Her words are, that food is tasty and cheap and the restaurant is nearby!Non... On 06 May 2015, my wife and I were touring Toledo and spending the night. Lots of walking uphill and downhill between cathedrals when a street hustler approached us with a flyer for Polacios. My wife took it, then said something to me. He realized we were Americans and guided us to the outside billboard with the menu in several... More

My wife, myself and my sister in law arrived late in Toledo and were staying at the Pintor Greco hotel. After checking in and getting settled, we needed to find some food. First off, wow, the streets in Toldeo are amazing, they are also super easy to get lost in. We had gotten a map at the hotel and some... More

Stumbled upon this local in Toledo - super friendly staff with suggestions of local dishes you may not choose immediately. Had white beans with partridge, calamari, croquetas and some delicious house red wine. I would go back next time in Toledo for sure. Its also a hostel which would be ideal for those wanting a warm atmosphere in the hub... More

We decided to have lunch at Palacios because the set lunch seemed pretty affordable by Spanish standards (10-15euro) and had a decent variety to choose from. It is also worth pointing out that despite the lunch crowd, the wait staff were friendly and helpful. And, contrary to other reviews, we actually enjoyed our simple lunch of a veal cutlet, roasted... Have tasted menu del dia for a 2 different prices: the cheapest for 6.5 and more expencive for 13.5. It was fast but not very tasty. A lot of people, nice service. But so crowdy like in fast food: eat and go. Actually reccomend for a fast stop to have a rest in Toledo.

Don't normally complain too much, but saw a good review in Steve's so gave it a try last night. Most unfriendly service in the 10 days we've been in Spain so far. 15 euro set price menu was horrid, had piece of sausage I could not cut. Rabbit had no taste and was way over-cooked. Ice cream was store-bought cup.... More

- Good location if you are strolling around the old town small streets. - Staff isn't 100% kind but they surely make their work in time. - Prices are very good for a central restaurant that serves handmade food - they have fix-priced menus (€8.50, 13.50, 18) with first and second dishes, drink and dessert.

Open restaurants were scarce on a Monday night in Toledo (June 2014) so we settled for Palacios on the strength of the LP recommendation. We had the Menu Del Dia - over-priced (13.50E), over rated & totally unworthy of the glowing reviews. I had the partridge/bean stew - served lukewarm, tasted OK. The pork stew was cold so that had...
