Friendly, family restaurant serving decent food

We wandered into this restaurant and received a warm welcome from the, I assume, owner. This is a restaurant cum hostel, and it has a familiar, make-yourself-at-home feel about it. With lunch menus from 6.50, who could refuse?! A local place looking a little touristy from the outside, but filled with locals on the inside. Daily menus which change each day with 3 courses of standard fare at 6.50 or rising to 8.50, 13.50 or 25 euros if you fancy going upscale. Water, wine, coffee or desert included. Food was... More

Restaurant is located in the very centre of Toledo and offers an incredible cheap, but tasty "menu del dia" for 8,5 euro (price October 2015). "Menu del dia" consists of two dishes, as usual you can choose from some options. Wine is included, and whether 1, 2 or 3 people are in your company, you'll get a half of liter... More

A popular choice for an evening meal when most other restaurants in Toledo are very quiet. I see that it gets mixed reviews but we enjoyed our meal here. The food was tastey and the portions generous, its not haute cuisine but what should you expect for €13.50 or 18.00 for 3 courses plus bread and wine. The service was... More

We were late for lunch (3pm+) but welcomed here after a big storm. We couldn't believe in the middle of old Toledo we were getting a 3 course menu de dia with wine and bread for €6.50 but it was true. Friendly waiters, decent wine and good starters. The mains (chicken and beef) were tasty but had lots of bits... More

Been there for lunch. There was a menu with main dish, second dish, bread, drink and a small dessert for only 6.50 euros. I got the legumes soup and the trout. The food was nice, not that great but definitely worth the price.

The place does have some ambiance, and a big menu in several price ranges. But for being as busy as this restaurant was, my husband and I were somewhat underwhelmed. true, you don't see ratatouille on the menu everywhere - it was passable here, we also had calamari, cheesecake, garlic soup (needed salt, wasn't very garlicky to our taste), a... Having walked this lovely city for a few hours we wanted a light lunch and a rest. This restaurante was close to the escalators that take you down to the lower town and car parks. The place was packed but we were served very quickly. We chose menu del dia and a bottle of RuedA wine. Both were very good,... More

On 06 May 2015, my wife and I were touring Toledo and spending the night. Lots of walking uphill and downhill between cathedrals when a street hustler approached us with a flyer for Polacios. My wife took it, then said something to me. He realized we were Americans and guided us to the outside billboard with the menu in several... More
