Very good....but

Venue was not what we expected, we expected more open surroundings, instead it felt more like a back alley. We were surrounded by smokers....which felt very 1990? I personally prefer a non smoking environment. The menu was OK, not exquisite though slightly above average. Prices were fair though... read more

This was my watering hole on a two night visit to Toledo. Its firstly open at the beginning of the week, beware many bars abd restaurants are closed till Thursday in this city. The place is in a quiet. Location behind the Plaza Zocodover and has an air condioned tapas bar and restaurant and an outside eating area. The food... More

We first went to El Trebol on the recommendation of a staff member at our hotel, and ended up going three nights in a row. We sat at the outside tables in a small quiet street just off Plaza Zocodover. They had good wines by the glass, and our favourite dishes were the excellent tender deer meat sandwiches and the... Good selection of tapas reasonably priced; easy to find just off Zodocover Square ( unlike a lot of others). Definitely worth a visit.

We had super meals in this very central spot were local delicacies are to die for. Maybe a bit expensive compared to outside the wall bars, but still reasonable

The food we had was above average and tasted okay. We had a tapas plate to share for starters and a mixed grill plate for the main course. Wine is good. Location is also good with tables outside in a narrow street. The waitress did and okay job although she was not very attentive. We liked it but would probably... More

Seek out this place just off Plaza Zocodover for an enjoyable and very fair priced local spot, although often quite busy. Good service along with a decent selection of fine tapas dishes, sandwiches extraordinaire, and deserts. Popular place to just have a glass of wine, with good prices and beer brewed downstairs in the micro brewery. Go inside if only... More

The meals were very good very affordable, in the beautiful center of the city. We had to wait 45 minutes to have a table and same to have our meals (ransom of their glory !)

Stopped in here before heading to the train station for our trip back to Madrid. It was a little early but we managed to have a few tapas. Pleasant atmosphere w what appeared to be mostly locals. Historic ruins were visible beneath the floor and wall. This place was recommended by a merchant deeper in the city. Good suggestion -... More

It was pretty tricky to find a cafe with a bit of class in Toledo so this cafe surprised us. We just had a dessert and wine. Both were great, try the chocolate bomb. The cafe is only 30m from the tourist train
