A lovely restaurant for an afternoon of indulgence

If you can find this restaurant, do -- quite enjoyable. We had a lovely three hour lunch -- we ordered from the menu trying almost all items on the menu for a table of four. Atmosphere: This is an interesting three-story restaurant with a handful of tables on the second and third floor overlooking a small central courtyard. The setup is such that it feels kind of intimate, like you're in at home. We had a table in the corner with a floor lamp that added to this sense. Service was efficient, and one might... More

The taster menu is a brilliant treat. They reel off a list of dishes you will get and then add extras as the meal goes on. All the tastes were well chosen and well prepared. Its quite a vertical restaurant, so be prepared for climbing to the second floor if necessary. Wines are a bit pricey, but if you are... More

We had the three course tapas sampler. My wife absolutely loved the first offering. I won't try to describe it because it just would not do it justice. The second offering was brazed fresh tuna cut in cubes with a mango sauce. Once again the description does not do it justice. All three courses were great. I hope to go... More

My wife and I had our most wonderful meal in Central Spain at Locum. Located on a quant side street in Toledo, the ambience was comfortable yet elegant. We ordered the 7 course tasting menu and were thoroughly impressed not only with the quality but also the presentation of each round. The highlight was the foie gras with a thin... More

I had several good memories from dining here some years ago, so we went to Locum for our dinner in Toledo. The dining room is very interesting (a gallery around an open space). The food didn't disappoint us this time either. The waiter was correct, but a bit pushy. He wanted us to order dessert when we ordered the main... More

My husband and I took our small appetites to this lovely place just a few steps away from the tourist thoroughfares (Calle Locum, 6, Toledo) to discover this elegant gem-of-a-place for a mid-day "lunch" in Toledo, Spain. What a find! In Spain, "lunch" is the main meal, heavy and large, served between 1-4 pm in most restaurants. Under-dressed tourists like... More

Locum is located in a small street near the Cathedral and off the tourist path. The tables are placed around a central light well over several floors. The waiters were polite and attentive and understood the menu and wine list well, being able to answer all questions. I ordered the gambas ajillo to start and the bull's tail as the... More

We went for lunch on a special occasion, the inside is lovely and quirky, the staff are attentive without been in your face, the food is excellent and the wine list extensive. The octopus on lavender mash was great. Both the wine and food recommendations from staff were spot on...No its not cheap but yes its worth it.

-Hidden in the small street near famous Toledo Cathedral, this is a small and interesting restaurant. First of all, this is very expensive restaurant. So, bill for two persons for dinner with wine is around 100 euro. Second, it's kind of "haute cuisine", so here you will have some interesting fusion of Spanish cuisine with modern experiments of the chief.... More
